Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions
- When: Thursday, November 24th, 2022. 12:30pm EST.
- Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
- NFL Odds: Bills (-9.5) // Lions (+9.5)
It’s funny how bad weather conditions in Buffalo forced the Bills to play their supposed Week 11 home game in Detroit this past Sunday. They did pick up the W over the Browns for their seventh win of the season and to stay in the conversation for the best team in the AFC. Now comes the real road clash in Motor City against a surprisingly competitive Lions team.
Detroit staged arguably the biggest upset this past week with a 13-point victory over the Giants (more on them later). That’s now three straight wins for the Lions, who suddenly find themselves in second place in the NFC North standings. However, they might be in for a reality check going up against a Bills side that’s gotten more than comfortable in Ford Field this past week and have a plethora of weapons ready to dissect Detroit’s suspect defense.
2022 NFL Week 12 Pick: Bills win, 33-23.
New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys
- When: Thursday, November 24th, 2022. 4:30pm EST.
- Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
- NFL Odds: Bills (+9.5) // Lions (-9.5)
The most important game on Thursday in terms of playoff positioning takes place during the late-afternoon window when America’s Team takes on the G-Men in a pivotal NFC West clash. Both teams have identical 7-3 records to date and a win on Thanksgiving will go a long way not just for a possible playoff berth, but also to keep pace with the 9-1 Eagles in the divisional race.
Dallas came to Minnesota and outright humiliated the Vikings to the tune of a 40-3 blowout win. This is terrific momentum for the Cowboys, who are looking to avenge their Week 3 loss to the Giants in The Meadowlands. New York might have stumbled this past week but will be extremely motivated to complete the season sweep of the Cowboys and to gain an edge in a possible tiebreaker scenario. Consider this a hard-fought battle that will see a rejuvenated Dallas squad prevail victorious on the final possession of the contest.
2022 NFL Week 12 Pick: Cowboys win, 23-20.
New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings

- Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
- NFL Odds: Patriots (+3) // Vikings (-3)
Had it not been for the deflating Week 11 loss mentioned earlier, Minnesota would’ve been a heavy favorite to win their first-ever NFL Thanksgiving Game in front of their home fans. Instead, the Vikings need to regain their composure in a showdown against a resurgent Patriots team currently riding a three-game win streak.
New England has played in just five Thanksgiving games and all five of them with the team being the visiting side. However, the Pats won in each of their last three outings on this special day. It’s an offense-meets-defense affair in primetime, as Minny’s prolific duo of Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson will try to bounce back from their lackluster outing this past week against the Pats’ top-five defense unit that’s allowing just an average of 16.9 points per game to their opponents. We’ll go with the more experienced, Bill Belichick-led outfit to outsmart Cousins; a QB who’s known to crack under pressure in nationally-televised games.
