Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Rams
- When: Thursday, September 8th, 2022. 8:20pm EST.
- Where: SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, CA
- NFL Odds: Bills (-2.5) // Rams (+2.5)
Matthew Stafford said the elbow issue is no more, which is why the line should drop by at least a half a point before kickoff. But although Staff will be one-hundred percent, Leonard Floyd probably won’t and Allen can handle the Rams’ D.

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta offers ridiculous odds to win the Super Bowl. The Falcons won’t have success versus a strong Saints’ D while Jameis Winston should burn the Southern Birds like there’s no tomorrow.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears

- Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
- NFL Odds: 49ers (-7) // Bears (+7)
The Bears don’t have a good enough offensive line to stop SF’s pass rush. The other issue? Trey Lance should have a field day versus a lousy Chicago defense.

Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Jets

- Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
- NFL Odds: Ravens (-7) // Jets (+7)
-7 is too many points on a road squad in the first game of the season. The Ravens are the better team. But the Jets have two solid running backs in Michael Carter and Breece Hall. NYJ’s defense will be much better in 2022 than it was in 2021. Jets cover.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

- Where: Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
- NFL Odds: Steelers (+6.5) // Bengals (-6.5)
This is a rivalry game. So the 6.5 points could mean something. Sure, the Steelers play for the first time without Big Ben under center. Yep, the Bengals have a retooled offensive line. But, again, this is a rivalry game and it’s in NFL Week 1.

New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins

- Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
- NFL Odds: Patriots (+3) // Dolphins (-3)
Patriots versus Dolphins is one of the toughest week 1games to handicap. Both starting quarterbacks had to learn new offensive systems. On paper, New England isn’t close to having as much talent as Miami. But Bill Belichick will find a way to frustrate Fins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Pats can win this straight up.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Detroit Lions

- Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
- NFL Odds: Eagles (-4) // Lions (+4)
We won’t know if Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurts has taken the next step until Sunday. To make matters more confusing, the Lions start one of the best defensive ends to come out of college in a long time, Michigan rookie Aidan Hutchinson. The extra point makes Detroit playable.

Cleveland Browns vs. Carolina Panthers
- When: Sunday, September 11th, 2022. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
- NFL Odds: Browns (+2.5) // Panthers (-2.5)
The Panthers have a better roster than many believe. Things fell apart last season. They may not in 2022 unless Christian McCaffrey gets hurt again. If he’s healthy and Baker Mayfield plays well, Carolina will beat some teams and cover in some games. The Panthers should have no trouble covering less than 3 points at home versus a Browns team that may not have their minds on football.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

- Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
- NFL Odds: Colts (-8) // Texans (+8)
Houston’s roster is the worst in the NFL. The Texans do have a solid, young, quarterback in Davis Mills. But Mills won’t do enough to keep this close.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Washington Commanders

- NFL Odds: Jaguars (+3.5) // Commanders (-3.5)
Man to man, the Jaguars’ roster has more talent. Jacksonville’s defense should be the top unit in this game. Also, how much better is D.C. quarterback Carson Wentz than Jaguars’ QB Trevor Lawrence? We’re guessing not much.

New York Giants vs. Tennessee Titans

- Where: Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN
- NFL Odds: Giants (+5.5) // Titans (-5.5)
The Titans have the overall better roster and the Giants have plenty of key players listed as questionable. However, NYG head coach Brian Daboll will call a game that keeps the Titans’ overrated defense on their heels. Don’t be surprised if the Giants win this on the money line.

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings

- Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
- NFL Odds: Packers (-1.5) // Vikings (+1.5)
The Green Bay Packers could go through growing pains on offense while Minnesota will hit the ground running. The Vikings win a shootout.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Raiders will start a seventh round draft pick at right tackle on Sunday. Vegas allowed 40 sacks last season. The Bolts have a fearsome defense. LAC easily covers the spread.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Arizona Cardinals

- Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ
- NFL Odds: Chiefs (-4.5) // Cardinals (+4.5)
Without DeAndre Hopkins, it’s difficult to see how the Arizona Cardinals keep up on the scoreboard. Not only is AZ missing DeAndre, but they also lost players on their defense. The Chiefs are the pick.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys
- When: Sunday, September 11th, 2022. 8:20pm EST.
- Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
- NFL Odds: Buccaneers (-1.5) // Cowboys (+1.5)
At +1.5, Dallas is the biggest overlay on the board. Tampa starts the season with three new starters along the offensive line. Tom Brady’s head was in a different space during training camp. The Boys win SU.

Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks

- Where: Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
- NFL Odds: Broncos (-6) // Seahawks (+6)
Seattle doesn’t have a good roster, but 6 points on the road is tough to lay. Seahawks starting quarterback Geno Smith doesn’t make a lot of mistakes and the Denver D could head into this over confident. Taking the points makes sense.
