Four teams, the Lions, Raiders, Titans, and Texans have their byes in NFL Week 6, which is the reason the schedule looks lighter than it did in the first five weeks of the season. But although four teams are on the bench this week, it doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of games to handicap.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. New Orleans Saints
- When: Sunday, October 16th, 2022. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, LA
- NFL Odds: Bengals (-2) // Saints (+2)
Almost every handicapper out there believes the Saints fall to the Bengals. Cincinnati had the Baltimore Ravens on the ropes in their last but Joe Burrow and his teammates couldn’t close the deal.
The Saints used a 3 TD performance by Swiss Army Knife Taysom Hill to beat the Seahawks 39-32. Seattle is a better team than people realize while the Bengals’ offense struggled versus a much worse defense than what the Saints will field. New Orleans is the play.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts

- NFL Odds: Jaguars (-2) // Colts (+2)
Last Sunday, the Jaguars played their worst game of the season. Facing an overmatched Houston Texans team at home, the Jags couldn’t score more than 6 points in a 13-6 loss. But Jacksonville’s defense played great. Also, Indianapolis has struggled to move the football, which makes the Jags more than playable.

Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Giants

- Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
- NFL Odds: Ravens (-5.5) // Giants (+5.5)
The odds in this game make zero sense. The Giants rallied in the NFL Week 5 London game to upset the Packers straight up as a +8.5 underdog. The Ravens required a last second field goal from Justin Tucker to get by the Cincinnati Bengals. The Giants are 4-1 this season because they’re a good football team. G-Men cover.
2022 NFL Week 6 Pick: New York Giants
San Francisco 49ers vs. Atlanta Falcons
- When: Sunday, October 16th, 2022. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA
- NFL Odds: 49ers (-5) // Falcons (+5)
Atlanta always plays tough. The Falcons should have beaten the Saints in NFL Week 1. The ATL had a chance to get by the Buccaneers last Sunday. So we shouldn’t expect the 49ers to beat the Falcons by more than 10 points.
We also shouldn’t expect Atlanta to keep this under a 6 point loss because San Francisco is much better overall. SF is the play.

New England Patriots vs. Cleveland Browns

- Where: FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, OH
- NFL Odds: Patriots (+2.5) // Browns (-2.5)
In NFL Week 5, Billy Zappe played a smart football game and Bill Belichick’s defense shut down Detroit’s offense in the Patriots’ 29-0 victory. Before laying a goose egg, the Lions had scored almost at will versus some decent football teams. When Belichick gets New England going in the right direction, the Patriots string together multiple wins.

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

- Where: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
- NFL Odds: Bills (-2.5) // Chiefs (+2.5)
It’s tough to go against Kansas City at home but the Chiefs struggled in their Monday night win against the Raiders. Buffalo hasn’t lost this season. The defense is playing great. Josh Allen is unstoppable. The Bills cover the spread.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles
- When: Sunday, October 16th, 2022. 4:25pm EST.
- Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
- NFL Odds: Cowboys (+6.5) // Eagles (-6.5)
It won’t matter if Dallas starts Cooper Rush or Dak Prescott against the Eagles. The line makes Philadelphia unplayable because Dallas’ defense is the best unit Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ offense has faced this season. Philadelphia can win the game. If the Eagles do, it will be by 3 points or less.
2022 NFL Week 6 Pick: Dallas Cowboys
Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers
- When: Sunday, October 16th, 2022. 4:25pm EST.
- Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
- NFL Odds: Broncos (+4.5) // Chargers (-4.5)
The Chargers opened a -4.5 favorite. As of Wednesday, the Bolts are a -5.5 chalk. Don’t be surprised if the line climbs to LAC -6 or even LAC -7.
Denver lost left tackle Garrett Bolles for the season, Russell Wilson is playing hurt, and head coach Nathaniel Hackett doesn’t appear to know what’s he’s doing. The Broncos are a mess. The Chargers should win this by at least 7 points.
