Ryan Preece

  • 2023 Coke Zero Sugar 400 Odds: +3,900

After a reserve driver stint with Stewart-Haas Racing, Preece was given a shot at a full-time gig behind the No. 41 Ford for the 2023 campaign. He made select starts across all three national series in 2022. The Connecticut-born driver recorded his first win of the season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Nashville Superspeedway. He piloted the No. 37 Chevy for JTG Daugherty Racing. In 2020, Preece earned a pair of top-ten finishes and an average finish of 24.3. Before that, he documented a top-five finish and three top-ten finishes.

His experience racing in several NASCAR Xfinity Series races makes him a viable sleeper contender. Moreover, he won his first Truck Series race in 2021 which doubles as his first career start. 2023 has been tough for the 32-year-old. Nevertheless, he ranks 24th with 423 points in 25 races. Preece also has a top-ten and a top-five finish, paired with an average start of 23.76 and a 21.84 average finish.

Corey LaJoie

  • 2023 Coke Zero Sugar 400 Odds: +4,400

Corey JaJoie continues his relationship with Spire Motorsports at the start of the 2023 Cup Series campaign. This is his third year driving the No. 7 Chevrolet. He previously drove for Go Fas Racing, earning a pair of top-ten finishes with the team in 2019. LaJoie has his roots deeply embedded in motorsports. His grandfather is Don LaJoie, a member of the New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, his father, Randy LaJoie, is a familiar face in the Xfinity Series Championships with a duo of back-to-back titles (1996 and 1997).

The North Carolina man stands tall as a viable sleeper pick. His 2023 season entails 404 points in 25 appearances. His record is good for 27th place, featuring a top-ten and a top-five finish with 12 laps led. Furthermore, LaJoie has an average start of 24.2 and an improving average finish of 21.2.

Harrison Burton

The young talent also logged seat time in the Camping World Truck Series for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Although the 22-year-old ranks 30th in the Cup Series standings right now, he stands strong as a sleeper pick with two top finishes to his name in 25 races. Burton amassed 343 points with an average start of 24.76 and an average finish of 23.6.
