2022 Enjoy Illinois 300 Recap

Penske driver Joey Logano races great when taking the checkered flag. Logano beat the Busch brothers, Kyle finished second and Kurt finished third. Fourth place went to Ryan Blaney and Aric Almirola finished fifth.

Martin Truex Jr. finished sixth followed by Erik Jones in seventh and Ross Chastain in eighth. Christopher Bell and A.J. Allmendinger finished ninth and tenth.

Top Choice to Win the 2023 Enjoy Illinois 300

Kyle Busch is on the verge of scoring another checkered flag. Busch followed up the victory at Talladega with a twenty-first at Dover.

Then at Kansas, Kyle finished thirty-fifth. In the last two events, though, not counting the All-Star Race, Busch finished seventh at Darlington and sixth at Charlotte.

Last year, the top choice finished second while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing. Busch has a real chance to reward his new team with a third season victory.

Second Choice to Win the 2023 Enjoy Illinois 300

William Byron has emerged as one of Hendrick’s top drivers. William has scored 3 wins, 8 top ten finishes, and 7 top five finishes this season.

Last Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Byron finished second behind our third choice, Ryan Blaney. In 2022, the second choice finished nineteenth in this.

However, Byron is driving much better overall in 2023 than he did in 2022. For sure, the second choice can get it done.

Third Choice to Win the 2023 Enjoy Illinois 300

Ryan Blaney won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway last Sunday. Not only that, but Blaney finished fourth in this behind the Busch bros. and winner Joey Logano.

Blaney has put together back-to-back victories before. So if he crosses the finish line first on Sunday, it shouldn't surprise anybody. Still, the odds difference, at least right now, make Byron and Busch better plays.

Top Underdog to Win the 2023 Enjoy Illinois 300

Joey Logano and his team aren’t in excellent form. The crew and driver don’t seem to be on the same page but we can’t look past the fact that Logano won this last season.

Not only that, but Joey has a tendency to rev it up later in the season. If he hopes to get it going in 2023, he can’t waste any more time. At +1600 odds, Joey Logano is the top overlay on the board.
