Top Pick to Win the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix

The Great One has lost three races this Formula 1 Season. Two of the losses came within the first four races of the season, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Those losses happened against Sergio Perez, Max Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate. The other loss came against Carlos Sainz Jr., Ferrari’s driver, at the Singapore Grand Prix on September 17.

Other than those three losses, Verstappen has dominated his opponents, crossing the finish line well ahead in seventeen events this season.

This last in the F1 Season, we’d take a shot against Max and Red Bull. But because this is the first F1 event in Las Vegas, it makes sense that Red Bull and Max will want to make a statement.

The -400 aren’t great odds but by no means does it make Verstappen an underlay. Back Max to win another.

Second Pick to Win the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix

Carlos Sainz was the last driver to beat the unbeatable Max Verstappen. It’s difficult seeing Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Charles Leclerc, or a driver like Lando Norris taking down Max.

So the logical conclusion is that if Max is going to lose, it will be to either Sergio Perez or Carlos Sainz Jr. Because Perez beat Max way back when the season started, if you want to roll the dice, back the last driver to kick Max off the podium’s top spot. That’s Sainz.

Third Pick to Win the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix

Red Bull said they’re not worried that Sergio Perez isn’t winning races. There’s no reason to be worried that he isn’t winning because Verstappen is dominating.

Also, nobody else is winning race ahead of Max right now, either. Perez has a shot because he gets the leftovers from Max’s terrifically designed machine.

Not only that, but Max has helped Perez in the past when he hasn’t had a chance to win. So Sergio is a logical choice if you’re looking to beat the chalk.

Top Underdog Pick to Win the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix

Vegas is the type of place where a driver like George Russell could fly under the radar all week and then produce a stunning victory on the race’s night.

Russell won a late race on the Formula 1 schedule last season, taking home the Singapore Grand Prix trophy. Maybe, history repeats itself.

Supporting the possible Russell victory is the fact that in 2022 the Singapore Grand Prix was the second to last race on the schedule, just like the Las Vegas Grand Prix is the second to last race on the 2023 schedule. If you want to take a shot on a driver with a chance that is going off at better than expected odds, give George Russell the nod.
