The field for the 2023 NBA Playoffs is almost set. Although the playoffs start on Saturday, April 15, the eighth seed in both the Eastern and Western Conferences have yet to be determined. But although we don’t know the eighth seeds in each conference playoffs, it doesn’t mean we can’t make title picks on the eve of the Association’s postseason. Top Pick to Win the 2023 NBA Championship
Boston begins their quest for the title against a tough Atlanta Hawks squad. The ATL is a decent team, but the Cs should overmatch the one-man band named Trae Young.
Not only that, but the Celtics are determined to win rings this season after getting so close last season. In the last game versus the Milwaukee Bucks, the Celtics blasted Giannis and his mates 140-99.
Boston is ready, hungry, and should have no trouble until facing the Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals. Then it will be a matter of if Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum can get it done. The guess here is that they will.
Second Pick to Win the 2023 NBA Championship
If the Celtics don’t win the East, the Bucks will. Philadelphia is a solid club. They’re just not on Boston’s or Milwaukee’s level.
The Bucks, for sure, can take their second title since 2021. No offense to Nuggets star Nikola Jokic but Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best basketball player on the planet.
Also, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, Grayson Allen, and Brook Lopez are healthy enough to play against either Miami or Chicago. Milwaukee rolls to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Third Pick to Win the 2023 NBA Championship
The teams in the West aren’t as appealing as the teams in the East. Cleveland offers long shot odds, but we’ve got another team for our top underdog play.
The 46-to-1 odds on the Cavaliers make Donovan Mitchell and his mates overlays. The Cavaliers have a tough first round matchup against the New York Knicks.
That could explain the odds. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle will challenge the Cavs. But if Mitchell is healthy, he’ll ensure the Cavaliers get by the Knicks. Then it will be a matter of Cleveland’s defense holding up against teams with more offensive firepower.
Underground Pick to Win the 2023 NBA Championship
We’re going to know right away if Sacramento is good enough to win the Western Conference Finals. The Kings begin their quest for the title on Sunday when they take on the Golden State Warriors.
Sacramento has a great starting five. De’Aaron Fox is one of the better point guards in the league. De’Aaron averages 25 points. Backcourt teammate Kevin Heurter averages over 15.
Domantas Sabonis is one of the more underrated bigs and Keegan Murray is a rookie of the year candidate. If the Kings get past the Warriors in the first round, why couldn’t they win the West? At the odds, Sacramento is the best dog to win the NBA Championship.
