Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Jets

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
• NFL Odds: Falcons (-149) // Jets (+127)

NFC South leading Atlanta has every right to continue their march to the playoffs. The ATL beat their most important rival, the New Orleans Saints, in a nice game in NFL Week 12.

On Sunday, though, the Falcons take on a desperate Jets squad. Aaron Rodgers got cleared to practice. So the Jets, no doubt, will be fired up to end a disastrous 4-game losing streak. Rodgers’s presence at practices will motivate the J-E-T-S this week.

2023 NFL Week 13 Pick: New York Jets

Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, LA
• NFL Odds: Lions (-204) // Saints (+170)

The Lions have lost just 3 games this season, but the last loss came on Thanksgiving Day versus the rival Green Bay Packers. In that game, Jordan Love exposed a few flaws on the Lions D.

New Orleans knows they let a victory over the rival Falcons slip from their grasps. Don’t be surprised when the Saints step onto the field at the Superdome ready to turn around their recent form. New Orleans feels disrespected after Detroit opened as a -4.5 road favorite.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. New England Patriots

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA
• NFL Odds: Chargers (-244) // Patriots (+200)

It’s difficult to back either one of these teams. It’s really difficult to back the Patriots because head coach Bill Belichick is supposedly headed to Carolina to rebuild the Panthers.

Even if Bill doesn’t leave New England, it’s obvious the Patriots are in rebuild mode. However, the rebuild is almost 90% at one position, quarterback. Mac Jones isn’t the answer.

Bailey Zappe likely isn’t the answer either. Zappe, though, won’t make the red zone mistakes that Jones has pretty much this entire season. Also, the Chargers are impossible to back given how’ve lost 3 straight and continue to shoot themselves in the foot.

2023 NFL Week 13 Pick: New England Patriots

Denver Broncos vs. Houston Texans

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
• NFL Odds: Broncos (+155) // Texans (-182)

Denver and Houston are in the thick of the AFC Playoff hunt. The Texans are the chalk in this because a) Houston takes on Denver at home and b) the Texans have the more effective quarterback in C.J. Stroud.

However, Denver’s Russell Wilson has been playing smart football. Not only that, but the defense hasn’t allowed more than 22 points during the 5-game winning streak, and the 22 the Broncos allowed came against the Bills in Buffalo.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
• NFL Odds: Colts (-116) // Titans (-101)

The Colts are, incredibly, a postseason contender. Ah, but Indianapolis faces a trap game against the Titans on the road this Sunday.

Tennessee broke a 3-game losing streak with a nice 17-10 victory over the Panthers in their last. The win is significant because the streak was during a 3-game road trip. The Titans are a different team at home.

Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 4:05pm EST.
• Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
• NFL Odds: Panthers (+191) // Buccaneers (-244)

Sometimes, a major coaching shake up fires up an NFL team. That could be the case this Sunday when the Panthers travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers.

The Panthers fired Frank Reich after 11 games. Reich was getting nothing out of Carolina’s players. The truth is that the Panthers don’t have a lot of talented players. Neither does Tampa Bay. So in a battle between a couple of struggling teams, backing the squad offering an overlay money line makes sense.

Cleveland Browns vs. L.A. Rams

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 4:25pm EST.
• Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
• NFL Odds: Browns (+150) // Rams (-179)

Cleveland wasn’t good enough to beat the Denver Broncos in NFL Week 12. The Browns are good enough to upset the Rams at SoFi on Sunday.

Although Cleveland has issues at quarterback, the Browns defense remains one of the top units in the league. The Rams defense is okay but not great. So Cleveland should be right there in the final five minutes. If things go their way, the Browns win straight up.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers

• When: Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. 8:20pm EST.
• Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
• NFL Odds: Chiefs (-250) // Packers (+206)

Green Bay has won 3-of-4. The lone defeat came against the Steelers in Pittsburgh and even in that game, the Packers had a shot to pull it out.

Kansas City isn’t playing as well as Green Bay. The Chiefs have lost 2-of-4. Both losses came against quality teams, Denver, and Philadelphia. But this is a tough spot for the Chiefs and the ML odds make the Packers an overlay. Back Green Bay straight up.
