Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens

Pittsburgh requires a victory and the Ravens do not, but that doesn’t mean the Steelers are an automatic pick to win straight up.

Even though Lamar Jackson will sit on the bench, Tyler Huntley is one of the top backup quarterbacks in the NFL. Huntley hasn’t played all season. So we know John Harbaugh is going to allow Tyler to sling it all over the field. The Poes score the win.

Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts

C.J. Stroud returned to the field and the Houston Texans rolled passed the Titans. Indianapolis struggled against the Raiders.

The Colts shouldn’t be favored in this game, and Indy may not by kickoff so make sure to play this early if you agree with the take that Houston is the better team, has a big edge at quarterback, and will play with more enthusiasm stemming from head coach DeMeco Ryans.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans

The Jaguars looked great against the Carolina Panthers, but we shouldn’t read too much into the win. First, beating the Panthers at home is no big deal. Only 2 teams have fallen to Carolina this season.

Second, the Jaguars tend to relax after big performances. In this case, Tennessee would like nothing more than to keep the Jags from winning the AFC South.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints

New Orleans comes off their best game of the season. But although the Saints beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road to keep their playoff hopes alive, they face a motivated Falcons team that can still win the NFC South.

The ATL easily handled New Orleans in the first matchup. Also, Alvin Kamara is banged up. The Falcons offer excellent odds to get it done straight up.

L.A. Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers

Before decrying the Rams 26-25 victory over the Giants, let’s put it in perspective. L.A. kicker Lucas Havrisik missed 2 extra points. So the score would have been 28-25 if Havrisik had made the kicks.

The Rams cut Havrisik on Monday and will bring back Brett Maher. Los Angeles may sit Matthew Stafford to avoid injury. But even if they do, Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy, Brandon Ayuik, and Deebo Samuel are almost sure to sit. LAR has a real shot of finishing the season on a 4-game winning streak and winning 7 of their last 8.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay remains in the playoff hunt. So many things would have to go right for the Packers that a playoff spot is almost out of reach.

But as long as the Packers have a chance at the postseason, they will play hard. On Sunday, though, Green Bay is up against a motivated, well coached, and high flying team in Chicago. The Bears secured the top pick in April’s NFL Draft.

Although most believe Chicago pulls the trigger on Caleb Williams, they’re likelier to trade down and draft Marvin Harrison Jr. because QB Justin Fields has turned the corner and become a legit NFL starter. Bears pull off the upset win.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Seattle Seahawks had their chance to secure a playoff spot. All Seattle had to do was beat Pittsburgh. They didn’t.

Arizona rallied to upset the Eagles in their NFL Week 17 game. The Cardinals are playing for pride and to have fun while all the pressure is on Geno Smith and the Seahawks. Faced with so much pressure, Pete Carroll’s squad is likely to fold.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants

Why would anybody believe the lackluster Eagles could go into New York and beat the hard trying Giants?

Philadelphia has lost 4-of-5. The Eagles are a tied team that blew a 21-6 lead against the then 3-11 Arizona Cardinals. The Giants were a field goal away from upsetting the Rams. NYG wins and they may win by 7 to 10.
