2023 Nitro NFL Survivor Pools Week 9 Recap

By Jeff Stinger

We’ve now officially hit the midway point of the 2023 NFL season, which means making wise weekly survivor picks will be tougher than ever as one’s personal pool of viable choices continues to dwindle. Thankfully, there weren’t a ton of upsets on the Week 9 schedule, which could’ve meant another moment of reprieve for our remaining survivors.

Nitrobetting is here to take your bets into the end zone this 2023 NFL season. This time, let’s take a closer look at what transpired in the intense Week 9 action of our Nitro NFL Survivor Pools campaign.

2023 Nitro NFL Survivor Pools: Week 9 Recap

Still Standing Strong

Nitrobetting continues to deliver the best NFL survivor experience on the web with its 2023 Nitro NFL Survivor Pool contests with a total prize purse worth over 6 BTC (~$207,500) across multiple public and private survivor pools.

Week 9 was arguably the least impactful stretch in terms of survivor, as there wasn’t a particularly significant upset that ended multiple runs in our eight main buy-in survivor pools that began play on the first week of the season. Perhaps the Packers beating the Rams, the Raiders humiliating the Giants, and the Texans winning their offensive shootout against the Buccaneers are all considered upsets, but these winning teams were far from the best survivor locks to be had this past week.

In turn, the majority of our active survivors lived to see another day, as only a total of six survivors across our eight main buy-in pools were eliminated from contention this past week. Our top four money pools (Nitro, Hall of Fame, MVP, and All Pro Pools) each went unscathed at that, which is terrific news for all who are still in the mix. Fantastic job, everyone! It’s about to get much bumpier from here on out, though.

Here’s how the 2023 Nitro NFL Survivor Pool landscape looks after Week 9:

NFL Survivor Picks for Week 10

The longest spread on the week is certainly on Dallas’ side with America’s Team as a staggering (-15.0) home favorite to beat NFC East rivals the Giants. The Cowboys are still smarting from their tough loss to the Eagles and failing to gain ground in the division race. However, the G-Men are starting to look like the worst team in the league after losing by 24 points to a similarly dysfunctional Raiders that just had a major coaching and management upheaval the week prior.

It’s also rather tempting for those who’ve yet to pick the Bills this season to finally lock in Josh Allen and his boys considering that they’re (-7.5) faves to win in Orchard Park against Denver on Monday Night Football. Then again, the Broncos are still high off their landmark upset over the Chiefs and are well-rested coming off their bye. Instead, perhaps that other AFC team that beat Buffalo in Week 9 is the sneaky smart pick. The Bengals are also (-7.5) home favorites against the Texans this weekend, with Joe Burrow and his gang from Cincy arguably being the hottest team in the NFL with a four-game win streak in tow.
