2022 Toyota Owners 400 Recap

Last year, Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag ahead of Kevin Harvick. William Byron finished third in last season’s Toyota Owners 400. Martin Truex Jr. finished fourth followed by Byron teammate Kyle Larson in fifth.

Sixth went to Christopher Bell. Ryan Blaney finished seventh. Alex Bowman crossed the line eighth and Kyle Busch finished ninth. Austin Dillon finished tenth.

Top Choice to Win the 2023 Toyota Owners 400

Only Denny Hamlin finished ahead of Kevin Harvick in last year’s race. This year, Kevin will be looking to cross the finish line first.

Kevin Harvick had a bad time in Atlanta. Harvick finished thirty-third after starting sixth. Kevin led a lap, but his car was a mess.

However, Harvick bounced back in the last. He started twenty-ninth and made his way up to thirteenth. Before the Atlanta debacle, Harvick had finished fifth at California, ninth at Vegas,

Second Top Choice to Win the 2023 Toyota Owners 400

Last Sunday, at the Circuit of the Americas, William Byron continued his hot hand. Byron didn’t win but he finished fifth.

Before the Circuit of Americas race, William had finished thirty-second in Atlanta. But before that, and we should throw out the ATL performance, Byron had won 2 straight at Vegas and at Phoenix.

The third place finish in this suggests Hendrick’s top driver so far this season has a big chance for another checkered flag.

Third Top Choice to Win the 2023 Toyota Owners 400

We’re tempted to make Kyle Busch the top pick. The ninth place finish in this last year suggests Busch for sure can get it done.

Not only that, but Busch is in terrific form. Kyle finished second at the Circuit of the Americas, tenth at Atlanta and eighth at Phoenix.

Even the fourteenth place finish at Las Vegas wasn’t bad. Busch won the race at California. Is Kyle sitting on another victory? Maybe. The odds are fair, that’s for sure.

Top Underdog Choice to Win the 2023 Toyota Owners 400

Alex Bowman’s eight place finish at the 2022 Toyota Owners 400 should give his backers confidence heading into the 2023 event. Alex finished third at the Circuit of the Americas.

If we throw out the fourteenth at Atlanta, for some reason Hendrick drivers didn’t perform well at the ATL Speedway, Bowman shows five straight finishes in the top ten and three finishes in the top five.

For sure, Bowman can win this race. The odds make Alex more than playable.
