Top Choice to Win the 2024 Daytona 500
Last year, it looked like Logano had the Daytona 500 in the bag. Joey was ready to cross the finish line first, but Ricky Stenhouse Jr., a massive underdog in last year’s race, got the win.

Third Choice to Win the 2024 Daytona 500
Chase Elliott is healthy and Kyle Larson remains at Hendrick, which is why William Byron could end up the third driver among Hendrick’s top three.
Then again, Byron ended up the best driver at Hendrick last season, scoring six victories. Byron is building his legacy at Henrick Motorsports. 2024 could be the season William breaks out. Like Busch, he’s a serious contender to win at Daytona on Sunday.
Top Underdog to Win the 2024 Daytona 500
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the Daytona 500 last year. In 2022, Austin Cindric took the checkered flag. In 2021, Michael McDowell crossed the finish line first.
If the underdog trend holds, Michael McDowell could score his second Daytona 500 trophy in the past four seasons. The reason is because while most teams prepare for the season, long shot crews prepare for the individual races.
McDowell and his crew want to win the Daytona 500. They will worry about the NASCAR Playoffs later. Don’t be surprised if McDowell gets the W.
