2024 UFL Week 3 Odds, Preview & Predictions

Birmingham continues to rock it in the USFL division. The 2023 champions have shown no signs of letting up. Over in the XFL division, surprising San Antonio is 2-0 after two games. Once again, the Brahmas step onto the field an underdog. Will St. Louis break Cinderella San Antonio’s glass slipper? Or will Chase Garbers and San Antonio continue to prove the doubters wrong? DC Defenders vs. Arlington Renegades

• When: Saturday, April 13th, 2024. 1pm ET.
• Where: Choctaw Stadium, Arlington, TX
• TV/Live Stream: ESPN
• UFL Odds: DC Defenders (-2) // Arlington Renegades (+2)

DC proved in their second game that defending XFL champs aren’t going to give up. In Week 1, the Defenders underperformed.

DC underperformed for three quarters in their 23-18 win over the Houston Roughnecks. But in the fourth quarter, the Defenders stepped it up big time, outscoring Houston 11-0. DC’s defense finally came together in the fourth quarter.

Jordan Ta’amu played great, leading DC to 3 touchdowns in 4 red zone attempts. If Ta’amu has another big game, the Defenders should manage a cover victory.

Memphis Showboats vs. Birmingham Stallions

• When: Saturday, April 13th, 2024. 7pm ET.
• Where: Protective Stadium, Birmingham, AL

• UFL Odds: Memphis Showboats (+7) // Birmingham Stallions (-7)

The Showboats too well to lose in Week 2. Memphis took a 16-0 lead into the fourth quarter versus the San Antonio Brahmas.

The Brahmas rallied to score 20 points in the final stanza to end up beating the Showboats 20-19. It was embarrassing loss for a team with UFL title hopes. On Saturday, Memphis hopes to bounce back.

It won’t be easy. Birmingham is dominating behind two former college star quarterbacks, Matt Coral and Adrian Martinez. Neither is completing a high percentage of their passes, but both have excellent movement in the pocket, can scramble, and both make winning plays. Martinez, or Coral, leads Birmingham to another win and cover.

2024 UFL Week 3 Pick: Arlington Renegades

Houston Roughnecks vs. Michigan Panthers

• When: Sunday, April 13th, 2024. 12pm ET.
• Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
• TV/Live Stream: ESPN
• UFL Odds: Houston Roughneck (+3) // Michigan Panthers (-3)

Houston versus Michigan should be a decent game. Even though the Roughnecks didn’t beat DC, Houston played the Defenders tough up until the fourth quarter.

Not only that, but Houston is averaging over 5 yards per play, which is higher than their opponents’ average of 4.2. The Roughnecks take on a decent team on the road on Sunday, though.

Michigan beat quality squad St. Louis in the first week. Last week, the Panthers fell to Birmingham but the Stallions are the best team in the UFL. At home, the Panthers cover.

St. Louis Battlehawks vs. San Antonio Brahmas

• When: Sunday, April 13th, 2024. 3pm ET.
• Where: The Alamodome, San Antonio, TX
• TV/Live Stream: ABC
• UFL Odds: St. Louis Battlehawks (-2) // San Antonio Brahmas (+2)

San Antonio is playing great football. No doubt, though, the Brahmas are about to crash and burn. The 20 points fourth quarter outburst that led to the win over the Showboats was part luck.

On Sunday, St. Louis, a team that should be 2-0, is set to bring the Brahmas back down to earth. The Battlehawks lost to Michigan in Week 1 after a final seconds field goal. In Week 2, St. Louis beat Arlington 27-24. San Antonio will struggle to keep St. Louis out of the end zone, which means Garbers won’t have a shot to rally the Brahmas in this game.
