Why Bet on the Alabama Crimson Tide?

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young could be this season’s Heisman Trophy winner. Young spearheads an offense that ranks sixth in total yards per game with 501.6. The Crimson Tide average 44.4 points per game, ranking second in the nation. Young’s individual stats are outstanding. He’s thrown for 3,584 yards and 38 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions.

Young completes close to 72% of his passes. No doubt, as Young goes so goes the Bama offense. When Young is on, holes open for running back Brian Robinson Jr and the Alabama rushing attack. The Tide avearge 157.5 rushing yards per. Auburn should have trouble stopping both Young and the running game.

Heading into their final regular season, the Alabama defense can finally say they’re playing their best football. The Crimson Tide allow 304.6 total yards per game, ranking eighth in the nation. Bama’s D is a great run stopping unit. Opponents average just 84.2 yards per game on the ground. If there’s a problem on defense, it’s in the secondary. Opponents can throw the ball against Bama’s D, 220.5 yards per. Teams score less than 20 points, 19.7, per game.

Why Bet on the Auburn Tigers?

6-5 Auburn fields one of the better offenses in the SEC. The Tigers average 428 yards per and 30.3 points per game. Because starting quarterback Bo Nix is out for the season with an ankle injury, we should expect the Tigers to lean on running back Tank Bigsby in this.

Bigsby has rushed for 945 yards and scored 10 TDs. TJ Finley should start in place of Nix. Finley didn’t have a great game in a loss to South Carolina in Week 12 and must improve big time if Auburn hopes to keep this close.

Auburn’s defense isn’t a terrible unit. But it’s not as good as past Auburn teams. The D allows 371.3 yards per. Opponents average 22 points each game. The worst stat is how the Auburn defense has taken the ball away just 6 times this season, making Auburn’s turnover margin 8-to-6.

Alabama vs. Auburn Betting Trends

  • Crimson Tide is 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games following an ATS loss.
  • Alabama is 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games on grass.
  • Over is 5-2-1 in Alabama’s last 8 versus a team with a winning record.
  • Tigers are 1-4 in their last 5 games on grass.
  • Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in November.
  • Under is 5-1 in Auburn’s last 6 games on grass.

Alabama vs. Auburn Expert Betting Predictions

The most important trend works against the Tide. Alabama is 2-6 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Auburn. Not only that, but Bama heads into the Iron Bowl after an okay but not great performance in a win against the Arkansas Razorbacks. But although Bama has roadblocks to the cover victory, it’s impossible to back Auburn.

The Tigers have gone 0-3 SU and ATS in their last 3 games. What’s really disturbing if you’re an Auburn fan is how the Tigers found ways to blow wins against Mississippi State and South Carolina. Miss State beat Auburn 43-34. South Carolina used defense to best the Tigers 20-17. Texas A&M held Auburn’s offense to 3 points in a 20-3 victory. Often, the Iron Bowl comes down to the last play. Not in this game. In fact, the Iron Bowl should be over before the start of the fourth quarter.

Auburn has zero chance of stopping Bryce Young and Alabama’s offense while Bama’s defense will shut down Tank Bigsby and dare TJ Finley to beat them. Bama rolls to a win and cover.
