Why bet on the Arizona Diamondbacks?

The D’Backs send one of their top starters, Merrill Kelly, to the mound. Although Kelly struggled in his first matchup versus the Phillies’ lineup, AZ’s Game 6 starter has an excuse.

Kelly hadn’t faced many of the Philadelphia batters before. Not only that, but Merrill had trouble in Game 1 versus a couple of Philadelphia batters, Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber. If Kelly throws more effectively versus Turner and Schwarber, he can last until at least the seventh inning, which would give Arizona’s bullpen breathing room.

Why bet on the Philadelphia Phillies?

Since the MLB Postseason started, Aaron Nola has been phenomenal. Nola has allowed a total of 2 earned runs off a total of 12 hits in 18.2 innings.

Philadelphia blasted Arizona 10-0 in Game 2; the last time Nola faced off against Merrill Kelly. So even if Kelly throws a much better game, which he should, Aaron Nola will counter with his usual brand of postseason brilliance.

Nola and the Phillies believe they’re destined for another World Series trip. The bats should be there for Philadelphia’s ace.

Phillies vs. Diamondbacks 2023 MLB NLCS Game 6 Betting Prediction

Aaron Nola steps it up in the posteason. That’s the only way to describe Philadelphia’s Game 6 starter.

During the regular season, Nola went 12-9 with a 4.46 ERA. Aaron’s regular season WHIP, 1.15, and strikeouts, 202, should have clued us in as to how effective he can be when he’s got his best stuff working.

On Monday night, Nola should have his best stuff working. Nola allows the Arizona Diamondbacks to bat .221 against him. If Nola gets into any trouble, Philadelphia’s bullpen is deep enough to save the day.

The same can’t be said about Arizona’s BP. The D’Backs’ bullpen let them down after AZ pulled Kelly in Game 2. The pen let Arizona down in Game 5 as well.

Philadelphia takes on Arizona at home. The Phillies are ready to make it back to the Fall Classic. Philadelphia wins by multiple runs, which means the Philly run line is the play.
