Why Bet on the Miami Dolphins?

Previously, the Miami Dolphins suffered a 35 to 0 beatdown in the hands of the Bills. Head coach Brian Flores and company look to move past this and start fresh when they face the Raiders. Tua Tagovailoa has been declared out for Week 3 with a rib injury, which means Brissett will take over for now as the team’s starting quarterback.

He is joined by right tackle Hesse Davis, who picked up a knee injury just before last week’s game. There’s plenty of talent on both offense and defense, and we anticipate Miami keeping things close as long as they stay calm and composed.

We find four Raiders players on the questionable list, which features Derek Carr with an ankle injury, Josh Jacobs, Richie Incognito, and Alex Leatherwood. If Carr fails to show up on Sunday, this might be a different game for the Raiders as Nathan Peterman lines up to fill the position.

Defensively, the Raiders did well to contain the Steelers as Denzel Perryman paved the way for his team with 12 tackles (6 solo). Jonathan Abram had a field day as he recorded 7 tackles (5 solo), while Trayvon Mullen collected 5 solo tackles and the team’s only interception. Furthermore, Solomon Thomas had 2 sacks to go with his 2 solo tackles during his stint.

Ultimately, this is going to be interesting to watch as the Dolphins have to adjust should Tua fail to show up. The same story goes for the raiders as Derek Carr finds his way to the questionable player’s list. The Raiders looked good early this year and they come in as the favorites. But, this Dolphins team is no pushover. There’s a good chance that Miami covers the spread and even get close enough to win the game. But if they let the Raiders out of their sight, we might find the Dolphins drop another place in the AFC East.
