Why Bet on the Detroit Lions?
Last weekend, the Lions came close to its first win of the season but were 3 points short by the final whistle. They did well to recover from a scoreless first half, scoring all 17 points in the third and fourth quarter. In their losing efforts, Jared Goff completed 217 passing yards on 22 of 30 passing. He had Kalif Raymond and D’Andre Swift as his primary targets.
By the end of the game, the duo combined for 128 yards on 13 receptions. Although the receiving end failed to score any touchdowns, the Lions made up for it in rushing plays. Swift led the unit with 47 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, while Jamaal Williams documented 42 yards and a score on 21 carries.
Defensively, the lions reload on Will Harris’ services. The 25-year-old safety topped the team with 6 solo tackles. Alex Anzalone followed closely with 5 solo tackles and 1 sack. Romeo Okawara, Charles Harris, and Austin Bryant had 1 sack each and combined for 7 tackles. Meanwhile, Amani Oruwariye recorded the only intersection of the Lions on top of his 4 tackles (3 solo).
In the upcoming game, the Lions’ lineup stays the same, except for Trey Flowers. The weakside linebacker is out due to knee and shoulder injuries. He played exceptionally well for his team through two games, and his absence is expected to have an impact on defense.
Why Bet on the Chicago Bears?
The Bears did well to recover from their opening game, winning against the Bengals 20 to 17. However, they were overpowered by the Browns last week and lost the game by 20 points. In their losing efforts, Justin Fields was held back to 68 passing yards on 6-of-20 passing. It was a tough game for the quarterback overall.
The receiving end produced underwhelming numbers as well. Allen Robinson topped the unit with 27 yards on 2 receptions, followed by David Montgomery who documented 21 yards and 2 receptions. Over on the rushing side, the Bears did a slightly better job as David Montgomery ended his night with 34 rushing yards on 10 carries.
It was a busier night for the Bears’ defense. Roquan Smith recorded a team-high 9 tackles (5 solo). Deon Bush was behind him with 6 tackles (5 solo). Khalil Mack did well to produce 2 sacks and 2 solo tackles, while Mario Edwards Jr. had the same number of solo tackles to go with his 1 sack. Additionally, Robert Quinn secured 2 tackles (1 solo) and 1.5 sacks. He shared a sack assist with Angelo Blackson who had 5 tackles (2 solo) in the game.
As for injuries, quarterback Andy Dalton, nose tackle Eddie Goldman, and strong safety Tashaun Gipson Sr. could still be out. Nonetheless, the Bears enter the game as the slight favorites and look to put that into play as they try to hold onto the second spot in the NFC North with another win.

Lions vs. Bears Expert Betting Predictions
This game presents a good opportunity for the Lions to overcome a winless streak. But for that to happen, they have to be on top of their game. While they stand a good chance at covering the spread, there’s still some work to do as they take on a Bears team on the road. At the other end of the spectrum, we expect Matt Nagy and company to go all out and use home-field advantage to strengthen their position. There should be less pressure on their side, but the team needs to have its guard up from start to finish to get the win.
