Bernhard Raimann – Central Michigan (OT)

Although Justin Herbert hasn’t shown great need for support in pass-protection, the Chargers could do no wrong by selecting another crucial piece to their offensive line with some one like Bernhard Raimann with the 17th-overall pick. Per Pro Football Focus, Raimann has the second-highest grade amongst all offensive lineman in this year’s class, and the Austrian transfer is flying under pundits’ radars in favor of other proven standouts such as Ikem Ekwonu and Evan Neal.

Skyy Moore – Western Michigan (WR)

The Bolts are just one downfield threat away from having the most postent passing game in the NFL. In turn, they might want to continue stockpiling WRs for Herbert to throw to, and Western Michigan’s Skyy Moore appears to be a solid fit. Moore had an FBS-best 26 broken tackles amongst wide receivers last season, making him a superb slot option in his rookie campaign whilst Keenan Allen and Mike Williams continue to torch opposing defenders out wide.

Andrew Booth Jr. – Clemson (CB)

Having J.C. Jackson and Asante Samuel as the starting cornerbacks is nice and all, but the Chargers could still use some depth for their nickel and dime packages on defense. That being said, Andrew Booth Jr. from Clemson should still be on the board after the top CBs of the class like Sauce Gardner and Derek Stingley Jr. are picked up in the top 10. Booth, a former five-star recruit and first-team All-ACC selection, has the right speed for the pros and could easily develop into a league starter should he develop better awareness in the NFL level.

Updated Los Angeles Chargers 2022 NFL Futures Odds

As of this writing, the Chargers are priced at +1,500 to win Super Bowl 57. Those are the eighth-best odds amongst all 32 NFL teams to date and slightly ahead of other AFC contenders such as the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, and the reigning conference champs the Cincinnati Bengals; all three sharing (+1,800) odds to win SB LVII themselves.
