Indiana Hoosiers vs. Kansas Jayhawks

• When: Saturday, December 17th, 2022. 12:00pm EST.
• Where: Allen Fieldhouse, Lawrence, KS

This will be the Hoosiers first game since an 89-75 loss to Arizona in a game that happened in Vegas. No doubt, it won’t be easy taking on Kansas in Lawrence in the very next game after facing the Cats.

The Jayhawks beat Mizzou 95-67 in their last. Missouri had been one of the few remaining undefeated teams. So Kansas’ victory was legit. Jayhawks forward Jalen Wilson will match Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis’ output. Kansas gets the win and cover.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs

• Where: Legacy Arena at BJCC, Birmingham, AL

Gonzaga’s guards aren’t as good this season as they have been in past seasons. That will be a problem versus fourth-ranked Alabama.

The Crimson Tide head into this game, which happens in Birmingham even though the Zags list as the “home” team, after four straight wins over strong teams: North Carolina, San Diego State, Houston, and Memphis.

Guard Mark Sears and forward Brandon Miller have a great inside/outside game going. Sears averages close to 15 per and Miller averages over 18 each game. The Zags won’t be able to hang with Sears and backcourt mate Jahvon Quinerly. Tide win SU and ATS.

Houston Cougars vs. Virginia Cavaliers

• Where: John Paul Jones Arena, Charlottesville, VA

Gonzaga’s guards aren’t as good this season as they have been in past seasons. That will be a problem versus fourth-ranked Alabama.

The Cougars show a single loss on their record. But although Houston remains in line for a 1- seed come tournament time, the Cougs haven’t scored victories against the spread.

Houston is 1-3 ATS in their last 4 games. The Cougars failed to cover agianst St. Mary’s, Bama in the loss, and versus North Carolina A&T in their last.

Virginia is undefeated at 8-0, which is why they’re ranked second. The Cavaliers should face a fair spread in this, which is why they’re the pick to score the cover victory.

North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

• Where: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY

Gonzaga’s guards aren’t as good this season as they have been in past seasons. That will be a problem versus fourth-ranked Alabama.

It’s mid-December and the preseason favorite to win it all already has four losses. However, in their last two games, UNC played great.

The Heels beat ACC rival Georgia Tech 75-59. Then versus The Citadel, North Carolina rolled, dominating the Bulldogs 100-67. Ohio State is a good team, but North Carolina is surging. The Tar Heels get it done.

UCLA Bruins vs. Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky has won four straight. But the Wildcats are just 1-4 against the spread in their last 5. This happens on a neutral court. So it could go either way. Right now, UCLA is playing like the more cohesive squad. Bruins SU and ATS.

Tennessee ranks third in points allowed each game and first in three-point percentage allowed per contest. Those two stats give the Vols a fighting chance versus one of the most electrifying teams in college basketball this season.

What puts this game in Arizona’s court is the fact it happens in Tucson, and Tennessee’s top scorer, Julian Phillips, is 6’ 8”.
