Michigan State Spartans vs. Illinois Fighting Illini
- When: Tuesday, January 25th, 2022. 7:00pm ET
- Where: State Farm Center, Champaign, IL

On Jan. 21, Michigan State brought their record to 15-3. The Spartans have National Championship level talent. Tom Izzo’s squad faces one of their top Big Ten rivals in this. Sparty should play well, though. The last time MSU faced the Illini they blasted them 81-72. That was last February when the Illini had Ayo Dosunmu. Illinois is a solid bunch, but the Spartans should prevail SU.

Providence Friars vs. Xavier Musketeers

Providence has won 3 straight, but the Friars are just 1-2 ATS in those 3 games. 9-10 Butler beat the Friars against the spread in a 69-62 Providence victory on Jan. 23. The Friars dominated Xavier 83-68 in the last head-to-head. Don’t expect a repeat of that score. The Musketeers head into this after losing to Marquette. A bounce back is in order. Xavier wins and covers.

Stanford Cardinal vs. USC Trojans

USC rides a 2-game winning streak into this week. Both victories were against decent Pac-12 teams, Colorado and Utah. The Cardinal upset USC 75-69 as a +6.5 home dog in the last head-to-head. Stanford is a solid squad, but they aren’t one of the better teams in the conference. USC should have no trouble exacting revenge. Give the Trojans the nod SU and ATS.

Duke Blue Devils vs. Louisville Cardinals

Duke is one of the better teams in the nation, but the Blue Devils don’t always show up on the road. Coach K’s squad is playing better than they have all season, though. Duke is just a point away from a 79-78 loss to Florida State from having gone 4-0 SU and ATS in their last 4. Louisville fell by 12 to Notre Dame on Jan. 22. Even if Duke struggles early, they should manage to pick it up enough in the second half for the win and cover.

Baylor Bears vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

After 2 straight losses, Baylor bounced back with wins against West Virginia and Oklahoma. Once again, the Bears are one of the top teams in the nation. Heading into the week, Bama has gone 1-8-1 against the spread in their last 10. The Crimson Tide has a tendency to step it up against top competition, though. Bama beat Gonzaga and LSU and lost to Auburn by 4. The Tide could pull off the moneyline upset in this.

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Purdue Boilermakers

Buckeyes versus Boilermakers should be an epic battle. But although Ohio State will play Purdue tough, the Boilermakers figure to grab the victory. Purdue guard Jaden Ivey is listed as questionable for the Boilermakers’ Thursday game at Iowa. He should play at home in this. Ivey is fantastic, but even without him, Purdue is strong enough to win and cover.
