Why Bet on the Denver Nuggets?

The Northwest Division leaders are en route to a Conference Semifinals victory if they can close the approaching road game. Nikola Jokic was his usual self and produced another playoff triple-double. The Serbian big man had 29 points on 12 of 20 shooting, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. Bruce Brown Jr. had a field day with 25 points, seven boards, and three assists off the bench. Meanwhile, three other starters Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon produced double-digit figures in 37 minutes or less.

Denver closed Game 5 with big numbers. They shot nearly 50% from the field and 48.1% from deep. The hosts had better free-throw shooting stats at 75.0% and dominated the paint with 50 points in four quarters. Rebounding and ball movement played a key component in their victory. The Nuggets collected 50 total boards and 32 assists while limiting their turnovers to ten.

It’s a treat to watch the Western Conference leaders in the playoffs. Denver averaged 114.6 points per game on 48.4% from the field in nine games. They are the fifth-best three-point shooting team in the 2023 postseason at 37.0% while averaging 44.1 total rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game. More than that, the Nuggets register the least turnovers per game at just 10.7.

Why Bet on the Phoenix Suns?

Phoenix can only manage a largest lead of one point when they last played Denver. The latter led the clash by as much as 24 points and finished the game with a 16-point advantage over the visitors. It was a poor night for the Suns as they shot 43.2% from the field and 33.3% from deep. Monty Williams’ crew also had eight fewer rebounds and ten fewer assists than their competitors. Overall, it was a problematic performance by the Western Conference’s fourth seed.

Devin Booker had 28 points. Kevin Durant was not far behind with 26 points and team highs of 11 rebounds and seven assists. The duo did not receive much help from the rest of the starters as Deandre Ayton was the only other player to log double-digits. The 2018 NBA Draft First Pick had 14 points to go with his nine rebounds and one assist.

Overall, the Suns still pack a punch when comparing their stats to the Nuggets. Phoenix’s playoff stats feature 115.6 points per game and a league-high 50.5% from the field. They have reliable three-point shooting at 36.2% and collect 41 rebounds and 5.6 blocks per game. More than that, the Suns protect the ball well and limit their turnovers to 11.2 per game in nine playoff appearances this year.
