Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LVII MVP X-Factors

By Jeff Stinger

There’s a terrific balance on both sides of the ball with the Super Bowl LVII-bound Philadelphia Eagles team. LB Haason Reddick

  • Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII MVP Award: +2,800

There are standouts aplenty across the entire Philadelphia defensive roster. However, edge-rusher Haason Reddick is the heart and soul of this terrific stop unit. Reddick was named an All-Pro and made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career after a 16-sack campaign and tying for the league lead in forced fumbles (five). The former 13th-overall pick out of Temple even continued his hot streak of disrupting opposing quarterbacks in the postseason with 3.5 sacks; the most sacks by any player in the playoffs thus far.

RB Miles Sanders

  • Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII MVP Award: +2,800

The Eagles’ nigh-unstoppable running game wouldn’t be the same without its lead back Miles Sanders. The 25-year-old Penn State product racked up 132 rushing yards and scored a pair of rushing TDs in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers. Although Kenneth Gainwell has the most rushing yards this postseason amongst his backfield teammates (161 yards), it’s Sanders who’s been the real threat to set the pace for Gainwell and Boston Scott’s fresh legs to keep the ground game going at any point in a game, and Sanders is also rewarded with better end-zone looks from this amazing rotation of Philly’s do-it-all running backs.

TE Dallas Goedert

  • Odds to Win Super Bowl LVII MVP Award: +6,000

There’s no denying that the electric wideout tandem of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith will warrant a ton of attention from Kansas City’s defense. On the other hand, Kansas City would be remiss to leave Philly fan-favorite Dallas Goedert unchecked. Goedert has been a stable option for Jalen Hurts in short-to-mid passing situations, hauling in at least five catches for an average of 42.3 receiving yards over his last three starts. Should the Eagles’ deep-ball threats fail to connect, they can still count on their fourth-year tight end to move the chains at a consistent rate.
