Why Bet on the Las Vegas Raiders?

The Raiders look good and are now gunning for a third consecutive win. They have adequate results on the road, winning four of seven games. This will be their last road game before returning to Las Vegas Furthermore, it’s the team’s chance to hit their peak before the postseason takes off.

The visitors will try to overwhelm the Colts’ passing defense. We expect the Raiders to utilize their passing advantage over the hosts. The team averages 276.9 passing yards (fifth) per game. Although they don’t do particularly well with rushing plays, they manage to record 367.5 total yards (11th) per game.

On defense, we expect the Raiders to feel the pressure of one of the best rushing attacks in the league right now. The unit allows 115.7 rushing yards (19th) per game. They also give up at least 219.6 passing yards (11th) per game. As a team, Las Vegas allows 25.8 points (26th) per game. If they want to keep things close, the squad needs to go all out on offense and try to hold the Colts off on defense.

The Raiders are struggling with multiple injuries right now, which features eight starters. On top of that, starting quarterback Derrek Carr is on the questionable list after sustaining a rib injury in his recent appearance.

Why Bet on the Indianapolis Colts?

The Colts did not have the best of starts this season. Nevertheless, head coach Frank Reich did well to turn things around. They now sit second in the AFC South division and are riding a three-game winning streak. This is a good opportunity for the team to pick up some more pace ahead of the postseason.

It’s been a solid couple of weeks for the Colts. They secured a victory against playoff contenders New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals. Their winning stretch also includes a 31-0 win against the Texans. The Colts have a clear path to one of the final eight playoff spots if they do this right.

The hosts have a menacing rushing offense that could intimidate their upcoming opponents. They are one, if not the best rushing team in the league right now. The side averages 154.9 rushing yards (second) per game. Although the team’s passing statistics are nowhere near the Raiders, their overall defense can cause problems for the visitors.

Defensively, the Colts limit opponents to 21.1 points (tenth) per game. They document satisfactory numbers when it comes to defending rushing and passing plays. The team allows 111.2 rushing yards (14th) and 234.8 passing yards (15th) per game.

Two Colts players are on the questionable list, including tight end Jack Doyle (knee/ankle) and left tackle Eric Fisher (knee). We expect Mike Strachan and Mo Alie-Cox to cover for the starters this Sunday.

Raiders vs. Colts Expert Betting Predictions

The Raiders begin to put their foot down as the regular season is about to close. This is going to be their toughest test since losing to the Chiefs, 48-9. Covering the spread is doable for this squad. However, getting a win is tricky for a squad that might not have their starting quarterback available. On the other hand, the Colts are holding onto a slightly better record in the last five weeks, losing only a game in the process. The team is primed for a playoff appearance and still has a shot at taking the top spot in the AFC South division. They enter this Raiders vs. Colts contest as favorites.
