Why Bet on the Phoenix Suns?

The Suns overtake the Warriors in the Western Conference and claim the top spot. They recently came off another win against the Pistons to stretch their winning streak to 18 games. This is the longest winning streak for any team this season, and there’s no sign of slowing down.

The Phoenix Suns are a solid offensive and defensive team. They average 112.2 points (fourth) per game on 48.1% shooting (first). The team features a better shooting record than the hosts, but not by much. We expect a barrage of shots coming from both teams on Friday night.

The side features a versatile roster that can hold scoring responsibility. In their recent game against the Pistons, seven players recorded double-digit points. Cameron Johnson and Cameron Payne recorded a team-high 19 points each, followed by Mikail Bridges with 18 points.

Defensively, the Suns are under more pressure than their competitors. They average 104.6 opponent points (seventh) in 21 games played. The visitors should also prepare to put pressure on the rebounding side. The Warriors recorded better offensive and defensive boards since the start of the season. The team’s leading rebounder DeAndre Ayton needs to rise to the occasion to keep the hosts from pulling away.

Devin Booker misses a few games after suffering a hamstring injury against their recent clash with the Warriors. Landry Shamet takes over the starting guard position while Booker recovers.

Why Bet on the Golden State Warriors?

The Suns put a halt to the Warriors’ seven-game winning streak. It was the first time the Warriors were held to under 100 points this season, which is an incredible achievement on its own. The game featured impressive highlights from both teams, and Friday gives the Dubs a chance to bounce back from the defeat.

Stephen Curry scored only 12 points in his last appearance, as the Suns were successful in locking up the shooter. Jordan Poole took the scoring helm while the star guard was heavily guarded. Poole ended the night with 28 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Nevertheless, the Warriors remain in the top-two scoring teams in the league. They average 113.1 points (second) per game on an imposing 47.6% shooting (second). Furthermore, the team managed to win seven of their last nine games by double digits.

The team is a threat from beyond the arc. They hit 36.7% of three-pointers (fifth). This puts more pressure on visitors since they allow 33.9% of opponent three-point shots in 21 games played.

Defensively, we’ve seen Draymond Green put in a lot of work for the team. He tops the Warriors lineup in rebounds (7.95) and assists (7.65) per game. The Warriors average 37.2 defensive rebounds (second) per game as a team. This is another point that could give the Suns trouble as they record fewer defensive rebounds at 36.4 per game (eighth).

The Warriors enter the game with a healthy starting lineup. Andre Iguodala and James Wiseman remain unavailable due to injury.

Suns vs. Warriors Betting Trends

  • The Suns are 9-1 in their last ten regular-season road games (6-4 ATS).
  • The totals went over in four of the Suns’ last ten regular-season road games against the Warriors.
  • The Warriors are 8-2 in their last ten regular-season home games against the Suns (5-5 ATS).
  • The Warriors are 10-0 in their last ten regular-season games at the Chase Center (9-1 ATS).
  • The totals went under in four of the Warriors’ last five regular-season home games against the Suns.

Suns vs. Warriors Expert Betting Prediction

The Suns remained composed in their previous meeting and endured the relentless Warriors offense. What makes it difficult for the team is the absence of Booker from the lineup. Although they pulled through without him in the last two games, it’s going to be tougher for the team with home-court advantage on the Warriors’ side. Additionally, the Warriors have an extra day rest while the Suns are coming off a 114-103 win against the Pistons. Covering the spread is a different story. This should be doable for the Suns, but a win requires the Suns to put their best foot forward. Ultimately, the Warriors remain the favorites in this contest.
