By Hank Blaine

The ATP’s new number one player steps onto the court at the Terra Wortman Open in Halle, Germany on Wednesday. Daniil Medvedev is a huge favorite to get past David Goffin and move on in the Terra Wortman. Marin Cilic, Simona Halep, and Cori Gauff are also in action on Wednesday. Check out the tennis odds, analysis, and free picks for six of Wednesday’s top tennis betting matches.

Top Tennis Betting Picks of the Week (June 13th, 2022)

ATP – Terra Wortman Open, Halle, Germany

Daniil Medvedev vs. David Goffin

David Goffin played well at the French Open. In the first round, Goffin beat Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 4- 6, 6-4, 6-4. Goffin followed up the win with a 5-set victory over Frances Tiafoe. Goffin fell in the third round at Roland-Garros to Hubert Hurkacz. Goffin’s Wednesday match versus Medvedev should be closer than many believe. Medvedev grabbed the ATP’s top-ranking, but the world’s #1 fell to Tim Van Rijthoven in the finals at the Libema Open in his last. Goffin can pull off the upset win.

Tennis Betting Pick: David Goffin +364

ATP – Cinch Championships, London, Great Britain

Alex de Minaur vs. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina

de Minaur played great in his first Cinch Championship match, beating Reilly Opelka 6-4, 6-4. The victory was Alex’s first in the last couple of tournaments played. Fokina beat Albert Ramos Vinolas 7-5, 6-4 in his first round match. The underdog in this should have a chance. He didn’t win his first round French Open match, but since then he’s been on the bench. Fokina is 2-1 in the 3 head-to-head matches.

Tennis Betting Pick: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina +207

Alexander Bublicvs. Marin Cilic

It will be tough to beat Marin Cilic, but the underdog in this might be worth a look. Cilic wasn’t at his best in his first round match.

Marin required three sets to beat Liam Broady. Cilic fell in the second set 4-6 and required an extra game to beat Broady 7-5 in the third set. Bublic won via a walkover. The underdog should be fresh.

Tennis Betting Pick: Alexander Bublic +211

WTA – Rothesay Classic Birmingham, Birmingham, Great Britain

Harriet Dart vs. Simona Halep

Dart shouldn’t beat Halep, which is why we’re turning to the game totals. The underdog gets 6 games in this match. That’s a lot of games that Halep must overcome. Simona blasted Lesia Tsurenko 6-1, 6-4 in her first round battle. Dart dominated Maria Camila Osorio Serrano in her first match 6-2, 6-0. These two have thrown down just once in the past. However, the payout odds make Halep more than playable.

Tennis Betting Pick: Simona Halep -6 +103

WTA – Bett1 Open, Berlin, Germany/h3>

Karolina Pliskova vs. Bianca Andreescu

Pliskova versus Andreescu should be a terrific tennis match. The slight underdog required three sets to get past Katerina Siniakova in the first round. Andreescu beat Siniakova 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. The chalk required four sets to get by Kaia Kanepi. Karolina Pliskova beat Kanepi 6-7 (5-7), 6-0, 6-0. Amazingly, this is the first-match between these two. Pliskova had to work harder in her match. Bianca gets it done.

Tennis Betting Pick: Bianca Andreescu -108

Ann Li vs. Cori Gauff

Ann Li played great in her first match at the Libema Open, beating Ludmila Samsonova 6-3, 6-4. But in her second match, Li fell to Kirsten Flipkens. This is Cori’s first match since losing in the final to to Iga Swiatek at the French Open. Swiatek is dominating. So losing to Iga makes sense. But Cori is young. It may take her a match or two to get back on track. Li may not win, but she should keep this to within the handicap.

Tennis Betting Pick: Ann Li +5.5 -115
