Top Tennis Betting Picks of the Week – November 27th, 2023

By Hank Blaine

This week, it’s all about the Women’s Tennis Association. That shouldn’t surprise anybody because the Davis Cup finished last week. Like in most weeks, top plays happen on Tuesday. First, we handicap and make picks for a couple of matches at the Creand-Andorra Open. Then, we turn our attention to Argentina where players step onto the courts for the Argentina Open. Keep reading for tennis odds, analysis, and free picks for six of Tuesday’s top tennis matchups.

Top Tennis Betting Picks of the Week (November 27th, 2023)

WTA – 2023 Creand-Andorra Open – Andorra, Andorra

  • When: Tuesday, November 28th, 2023

Sarah Iliev vs. Katarzyna Kawa

17-year-old French player Sarah Iliev last played a WTA match in July. Iliev fell to Anastasia Tikhonova in a qualifier at the Grand Est Open 88. After winning the first set 6-3, Iliev lost the second set 1-6 and the third set 0-6.

Katarzyna Kawa has much more experience than Iliev. Kawa has gone 36-27 in singles matches this season. She should win this, but the younger player should be much improved from July. Backing the underdog at +5.5 makes sense.

Tennis Betting Pick: Sarah Iliev +5.5 -116

Victoria Jimenez vs. Clara Tauson

Clara Tauson is a major favorite because the 20-year-old form Denmark already has a successful career. Tauson has gone 190-74 in singles matches since turning pro in 2019. This year, the -500 chalk has a fantastic 32-19 singles record.

Andorra native Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva doesn’t have close to the experience that Tauson possesses. However, Kasintseva does have home court advantage and although she’s 18, Kasintseva is 85-64 in singles matches. Taking a shot on the +328 choice is the play.

Tennis Betting Pick: Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva +328

WTA – 2023 rgentina Open – Buenos Aires, Argentina

Gabriela Ce vs, 8 Maria Lourdes Carle

In her last, underdog Gabriela Ce made it to the second round of the MundoTenis Open. But after making it to Round 2, Anca Alexi Todoni throttled Ce 6-1, 6-3.

8-seed Maria Lourdes Carle didn’t even get out of the first round at the MundoTenis Open. However, the favorite has gone 33-27 in singles matches this season and will have a home court advantage. Give Carle the nod to beat Ce by 6 or more games.

Tennis Betting Pick: Maria Lourdes Carle -6 -101

Martina Capurro vs. Elizabeth Mandlik

Elizabeth Mandlik is the favorite, which makes sense. Mandlik is an up and coming U.S. player who has gone 38-32 in singles matches this season to win $335,121. Mandlik made just $199,615 last year. So the favorite in this had a massive leap from 2022 to 2023.

Martina Capurro, though, is worth a look to pull off the upset victory. At the MundoTenis Open, Capurro, a 25-year-old Argentinian, made it all the way to the finals, losing to Ajla Tomljanovic 16, 5-7. Capurro should have a slight advantage since this happens in her native Argentina.

Tennis Betting Pick: Martina Capurro +204

Robin Montgomery vs.Sara Errani

We must forgive Robin Montgomery for losing her last match. The 19-year-old American faced Victoria Azarenka at the Guadalajara Open in September. Azarenka is one of the better women’s tennis players at the WTA.

Losing to Azarenka is no big deal. Still, Sara Errani has more experience. Ah, but the odds make Errani an underlay. Grab the overlay number on Montgomery.

Tennis Betting Pick: Robin Montgomery +190
