Top Tennis Betting Picks of the Week – October 30th, 2023

By Hank Blaine

The ATP picks it up a notch this week with one of the better tournaments late in the year. Some of the best players in the world head to Paris for the Rolex Masters. Top early week matchups include Gael Monfils versus Francisco Cerundolo, Sebastian Korda against Hubert Hurkacz, and Marcos Giron versus Ugo Humbert. See below for tennis odds, analysis, and free picks for the ATP Rolex Paris Masters.

Top Tennis Betting Picks of the Week (October 30th, 2023)

ATP – Rolex Paris Masters – Paris, France

  • When: Monday, October 30th, 2023

Gael Monfils vs. Francisco Cerundolo

25-year-old Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo has gone 34-27 in singles matches this season. Cerundolo does have a singles title victory.

On Tuesday, Cerundolo goes up against Gael Monfils. Although Monfils has gone 14-10 in singles matches in 2023, he, like Cerundolo, does have a title victory. However, Monfils is 37.

2024 could be Cerundolo’s time. So he’s a good pick to upset Monfils in this.

Tennis Betting Pick: Francisco Cerundolo +182

Sebastian Korda vs. Hubert Hurkacz

Young Sebastian Korda, he’s just 23, can make a big splash with a win over a well-regarded player. Hubert Hurkacz has gone 38-21 this year and has scored a couple of title victories.

The fact Hurkacz is the underdog versus Korda tells us oddsmakers and pro tennis handicappers believe Sebastian is about to break out. Korda is the play.

Tennis Betting Pick: Sebastian Korda -130

Marton Fucsovics vs. Alexander Zverev

Fucsovics beat a couple of decent tennis players in Emil Ruusuvuori and Gregoire Barrere to qualify for the Rolex Paris Masters. But on Tuesday, Fucsovics takes on one of the top players on the ATP Tour.

Zverev hopes to secure a major championship in 2024. The chalk should have no trouble beating Fucsovics at the Rolex Paris Masters.

Tennis Betting Pick: Alexander Zverev -417

Dusan Lajovic vs. Benjamin Bonzi

French player Benjamin Bonzi has a losing singles record this year. Bonzi has gone 15-16. Lajovic has a slightly better 23-21 singles record in 2023. Lajovic qualified for the Rolex Paris Masters by beating Quentin Halys. Bonzi is younger and should have home court advantage. So the -104 choice gets the nod.

Tennis Betting Pick: Benjamin Bonzi -104

Jeffrey John Wolf vs. Mackenzie McDonald

The odds imply a competitive match and Wolf and McDonald will deliver. No doubt, this is one of the more difficult early round Rolex Paris Masters matches to handicap.

Mackenzie McDonald is 32-27 in singles titles this year. McDonald won his first round match versus Max Purcell at the Japan Open Tennis Championship, but then lost to one of America’s better ATP players in Tommy Paul.

Jeffrey John Wolf beat a couple of decent players to qualify. Wolf and McDonald are on the same level. They also offer similar odds. J.J. looked good in his last versus a strong competitor in Roberto Caballes Baena. Backing Wolf makes sense.

Tennis Betting Pick: Jeffrey John Wolf -111

Ugo Humbert vs. Marcos Giron

Giron won both his Rolex Paris Masters qualifying matchups, beating Dominik Koepfer and Dusan Lajovic.

But on Tuesday, Giron battles rising French star Ugo Humbert. The 25-year-old had a fantastic Swiss Indoors Basel tournament, making it all the way to the semifinals before falling to Hubert Hurkacz in 3 sets and a tiebreaker.

Humbert should take the next step in 2024. He won’t lose to Giron this early at the Rolex Paris Masters.

Tennis Betting Pick: Ugo Humbert -169
