Top Tennis Betting Picks of the Week (October 31st, 2022)

ATP – Paris, France

Corentin Moutet vs. Borna Coric

Moutet qualified for this by beating a couple of decent players, Ugo Humbert and Geoffrey Blancaneaux. Moutet beat Humbert in straight sets and got by Blancaneaux in three sets.

Borna Coric hasn’t played since a march to the Erste Bank Open semifinals. On his way to the semis, where he lost to Denis Shapovalov, Coric beat 2-seed Stefanos Tsitsipas and 5-seed Hubert Hurkacz. Coric should have no trouble winning this.

Tennis Betting Pick: Borna Coric -192

Daniel Evans vs. Brandon Nakashima

Evans played great tennis at the Erste Bank Open. He beat U.S. Open semifinalist Karen Khachanov in the second round before losing to Denis Shapovalov in the quarterfinals.

Nakashima hasn’t played since the Swiss Indoors Basel where he lost in the second round to Sta Wawrinka. The 21-year-old American has a singles title this season, winning the San Diego Open over Marcos Giron in mid-October. But although Nakashima has a shot, the time difference could work against him here. Evans is the play.

Tennis Betting Pick: Daniel Evans -110

Roberto Bautista Agut vs. Tommy Paul

In his last, Agut made it all the way to the Swiss Indoors Basel semifinals. Roberto Bautista fell to Holger Rune after a couple of sets and two tiebreakers.

Tommy Paul lost to Dominic Thiem after three sets and two tiebreakers in his last, the Erste Bank Open. Paul, like Nakashima, could have trouble due to the time difference. Backing Bautista Agut makes sense.

Tennis Betting Pick: Roberto Bautista Agut -156

Arthur Rinderknech vs. Jack Draper

Rinderknech is another who lost to Holger Rune in his last. The underdog in this qualified for the Swiss Indoors Basel and played well until the quarters where Rune bested Rinderknech in 2 sets and a tiebreaker.

Jack Draper didn’t make it past the first round at the Swiss Indoors Basel but he lost to Carlos Alcaraz. Not only did he lose to the top player in the world, but Draper won the first set against Carlos. Still, the odds make Rinderknech a slight overlay.

Tennis Betting Pick: Arthur Rinderknech +134

WTA Finals – Forth, Texas

Iga Swiatek vs. Daria Kasatkina

Swiatek last played at the San Diego Open where she won the finals after beating Donna Vekic 6-3, 3-6, 6-0. Before beating Vekic, the world’s number one beat Coco Gauff 6-0, 6-3, and Jessica Pegula 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Daria Kasatkina didn’t make it out of the third round in her last tournament played, the Guadalajara Open. Swiatek is on fire. Laying the games make sense.

Tennis Betting Pick: Iga Swiatek -5.5 -110

Cori Gauff -169 vs. Caroline Garcia +140

This is a rematch of the U.S. Open quarterfinals where Garcia beat Gauff 6-3, 6-4. Since then, Gauff has played well. She hasn’t won a tournament but her two losses have happened versus two of the top tennis stars on the planet: Iga Swiatek and Victoria Azarenka.

Garcia hasn’t played great tennis, which is why Gauff is the chalk. But Caroline beat the favorite the last time these two met. Garcia can step it up and the odds are more than fair.

Tennis Betting Pick: Iga Swiatek -5.5 -110
