By Jeff Stinger

The PGA TOUR returns to Jack Nicklaus’ stomping grounds this week with the 2023 edition of The Memorial Tournament. Most of the TOUR’s elite golfers are competing for the lion’s share of a hefty $20 million total payout in Dublin, which means there are plenty of sleeper picks to choose from in this week’s stacked field.

Jordan Spieth

  • 2023 Memorial Tournament Odds: +3,300

With two cuts in three starts this May, Jordan Spieth doesn’t appear like a viable sleeper candidate to win this week at all. However, the three-time winner at the majors does have five top-six finishes since February, including being a runner-up at the RBC Heritage last month. Spieth also has seven top-20s at The Memorial under his belt, and it’s this wealth of experience that could earn him his first win of the season.

Corey Conners

  • 2023 Memorial Tournament Odds: +4,500

As the 2023 Valero Texas Open champion, Corey Conners is having himself quite the stretch of performances of late. The 31-year-old Ontario native followed up that win in San Antonio in early April with a T8 at the Wells Fargo Championship followed by a strong T12 showing at the PGA Championship. Conners hasn’t missed a cut in The Memorial in four-career trips to go with a pair of top-25 finishes, making him a solid sleeper pick to win his second PGA TOUR event in two months.

Adam Scott

  • 2023 Memorial Tournament Odds: +5,500

Aussie Adam Scott just keeps raking in the big bucks as he’s yet to miss a cut in all of his starts this season. The former Masters champion got into a groove this month as well, reeling off a T5 finish at Quail Hollow and a T8 at the AT&T Byron Nelson. He also got a paycheck in each of his last nine trips to Muirfield, including a career-best T2 finish in 2019. All things considered, Scott appears like this week’s sleeper candidate with the best value odds-wise.
