There aren’t as many sleeper picks in NFL Week 2 as there were in NFL Week 1 but there are enough under the radar money line picks that could hit and provide decent payouts. The Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers are solid clubs offering better than even money payouts to win straight up. Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals
- When: Sunday, September 17th, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
- NFL Odds: Ravens (+152) // Bengals (-189)
Lamar Jackson finally has a legit WR1 and it’s not Odell Beckham Jr. It’s rookie Zay Flowers, who had a tremendous first NFL game.
Flowers will have success versus a Bengals squad that has struggled against the Ravens in the past. On defense, Baltimore can contain Cincinnati’s high-powered offense. Also, the odds make the Edgar Allan Poes more than playable.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions
- When: Sunday, September 17th, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
- NFL Odds: Seahawks (+196) // Lions (-250)
Detroit’s victory over the Chiefs in Kansas City in week 1 was legit. The Lions are a good team, but the money line assumes Detroit will repeat the effort, and it’s tough seeing that happen.
Seattle is much better than what they showed when losing the Rams in their first contest. The Seahawks offense will have success against a Lions defense that is decent but benefited from six KC dropped passes. Seattle can win.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

- Where: EverBank Stadium, Jacksonville, FL
- NFL Odds: Chiefs (-159) // Jaguars (+130)
Chris Jones is back in a KC uniform. Jones may not be football ready, meaning he could sit this one out. Even if Jones plays, the Chiefs will have trouble stopping a Jaguars’ offense that got better with every quarter in the victory over the Colts.
Calvin Ridley is a legit WR1, Travis Etienne can break tackles and motor to the end zone on any carry, and Trevor Lawrence has become one of the NFL’s top five quarterbacks. In this game, Jacksonville will also have the better defense.
2023 NFL Week 2 Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills
- When: Sunday, September 17th, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
- NFL Odds: Raiders (+336) // Bills (-455)
Buffalo handed the Jets the victory. So the thinking is that the Bills bounce back with a massive win on Sunday.
The thinking could be off. Las Vegas has a real quarterback playing for them in Jimmy Garoppolo. Also, we must remember that Vegas' HC Josh McDaniels made it a habit of dominating Buffalo while calling plays for Bill Belichick. The ML odds make the Raiders an overlay. Rolling the dice on the Raiders make sense.

New York Jets vs. Dallas Cowboys

- NFL Odds: Jets (+336) // Cowboys (-455)
Dallas isn’t just the favorite because Aaron Rodgers’ season is over. It’s also because the Boys destroyed the Giants 40-0.Big D could bounce after such a massive victory. Not only that, but the Jets’ defense is as good, if not slightly better, than Dallas’. If J-E-T-S keeps the playbook simple for Zach, the Jets can win this.

Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots
- When: Sunday, September 17th, 2023. 8:20pm EST.
- Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA
- NFL Odds: Dolphins (-139) // Patriots (+113)
The Patriots shouldn’t be money line underdogs. Ask Philadelphia how easy it is to win in New England. The Pats almost pulled off the upset over Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.
Mac Jones will have more success agianst Miami’s defense. So at an above even money payout, the Patriots are an overlay.

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
- When: Monday, September 18th, 2023. 8:20pm EST.
- Where: Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA
- NFL Odds: Browns (-132) // Steelers (+107)
Sure, SF dominated the Steelers. But the Niners are the most complete team on both sides of the ball in the NFL. San Francisco, right now, is the best team in the league.
The Steelers get a much easier assignment at home in their second game. In addition, there are few things Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin likes more than dusting the Browns.
