New Orleans Saints vs. Houston Texans

• When: Sunday, October 15th, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
• NFL Odds: Saints (-123) // Texans (+105)

New Orleans looked fantastic when putting a beating onto the New England Patriots. But the 2023 Pats are a verifiable disaster. Three starters were missing on New England’s D, including Matthew Judon, the Pats top defender.

C.J. Stroud and Dameon Pierce are the quarterback and running back for a solid Houston offense. Rookie Will Anderson leads a Texans’ defense that will give Saints QB Derek Carr fits. If the Texans can contain Alvin Kamara, Houston should win.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

• When: Sunday, October 15th, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
• NFL Odds: Colts (+170) // Jaguars (-204)

The Jaguars are on fire. Jacksonville beat Atlanta in NFL Week 4. Then in NFL Week 5, the Jags took it to the Buffalo Bills.

But although Jacksonville is playing great football, both wins came in London. Now back in the U.S., the Jags face a Colts side that has turned into a decent football team. Although Anthony Richardson won’t play, Gardner Minshew is good enough to expose the Jags’ flaws in the secondary. Indy can pull off the upset win.

2023 NFL Week 6 Pick: Indianapolis Colts

Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears

• When: Sunday, October 15th, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
• NFL Odds: Vikings (-149) // Bears (+126)

The odds should be switched. Chicago should be the favorite in this matchup. For starters, the game happens at Soldier Field.

Not only do the Bears have home field advantage, but Minnesota will be without Justin Jefferson, their best overall player. Chicago’s offense has been unstoppable in two straight weeks. Bears win this by 6 to 10 points.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Cincinnati Bengals

• When: Sunday, October 15th, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
• NFL Odds: Seahawks (+132) // Bengals (-156)

Joe Burrow takes on the Seattle Seahawks off his best performance. But even though Burrow played lights out in NFL Week 5 and the Bengals should be the chalk in this, Seattle heads to Cincinnati after their bye.

For sure, Pete Carroll spent the week figuring out how to beat the Bengals. Seattle is one of the better teams in the NFC. The offense is very good. The defense has improved week to week. Beating Arizona is one thing. Beating the Seahawks is another.

Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

• When: Sunday, October 15th, 2023. 4:25pm EST.
• Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
• NFL Odds: Lions (-175) // Buccaneers (+145)

Detroit has played great football the past couple of weeks, but on Sunday, the Lions head to Tampa to battle a Buccaneers’ squad with one of the top defenses in the NFL. The Bucs defense allows 27% red zone efficiency, meaning when the Lions get into the red zone in this, they will end up kicking more field goals than scoring touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, Tampa’s Baker Mayfield is completing 70% of is passes, has a 7-to-2 TD-to-INT ratio, and has thrown for 882 yards. Baker is making the right decision on almost every play. The Bucs will have a game plan that leads to their fourth win of the season.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Chargers

• When: Monday, October 16th, 2023. 8:15pm EST.
• Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
• NFL Odds: Cowboys (-130) // Chargers (+110)

Most teams struggle to come back guns blazing a week after losing 42-10 to one of their most important rivals. San Francisco obliterated the Cowboys on both sides of the ball.

On Monday, the Boys D faces a Chargers offense led by Justin Herbert, one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Dallas’ issues in the secondary remain. LAC should be a -4 ATS and – 175 money line chalk. So backing the Bolts at +109 is one of the top sports plays of the week.
