Why Bet on the Buffalo Bills?

After back-to-back closely-contested affairs in Weeks 3 and 4, the Buffalo Bills regained their dominant form against the hapless Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5 by way of a 38-3 destruction of the Steelers. With the win, Buffalo kept pace with the Chiefs for the best record in the AFC with four wins and one loss.

Star quarterback Josh Allen proved yet again why he’s a favorite to win the NFL regular-season MVP award right now. Allen threw four touchdown passes along with 424 yards through the air and an average of 8.4 yards-per-carry on five rushing attempts as he made minced meat of the Pittsburgh defense. Wide receiver Gabe Davis also had his best outing of the season yet (171 receiving yards, two TD catches) and is ready for another explosive outing similar to his breakout performance during the memorable playoff clash against the Chiefs last season.

The Bills’ defense remains just as exceptional, currently tied for first in the league in points allowed (12.2 PAPG) and second in yards allowed per game (260.4 YAPG). Buffalo is also one of only three NFL teams right now with 11 forced turnovers for the season, which further reinforces the team’s status as the road favorite in its Week 6 marquee matchup in Kansas City.

Why Bet on the Kansas City Chiefs?

With back-to-back huge victories in the bag, it’s safe to say that the Kansas City Chiefs’ stunning Week 3 upset at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts was a mere aberration. Then again, the Chiefs did need to stage a huge comeback in Week 5 before narrowly defeating the Las Vegas Raiders, 30-29.

Kansas City trailed 17-0 at the midway point of the second quarter against Vegas, but that just gave Patrick Mahomes another memorable come-from-behind moment. Mahomes finished with 292 passing yards and four TD passes; all four of which went to sensational tight end Travis Kelce. KC’s star QB now has 15 passing touchdowns to just two interceptions for the season whilst putting an end to his turnover streak at two games as well.

The Chiefs’ defense, on the other hand, still tends to crumble under pressure. They rank in the bottom third of the league allowing an average of 25 points per contest no thanks to facing some of the NFL’s best offenses from the likes of the Raiders, Chargers, and Buccaneers. With the high-flying Bills coming to town, it appears as though Mahomes will need to outgun his opponents again despite his team’s relatively unreliable D.

    Cardinals vs. Seahawks Betting Trends

    • The Bills are 5-2 in their last seven regular-season road games (4-1-1 ATS).
    • The BIlls are also 5-2 against AFC West teams since 2019 (SU/ATS).
    • The totals have gone over in each of Buffalo’s last four games against teams from that division.
    • The Chiefs have won eight straight regular-season home games to date (4-4 ATS).
    • The Chiefs are 6-2 in their last eight meetings against the Bills, including the playoffs (SU/ATS).
    • The totals have gone over in each of the last three Buffalo vs. KC matchups.

Bills vs. Chiefs Expert Betting Predictions

One can’t go wrong picking either of these two AFC powerhouses battling for conference supremacy this week. While the Bills have more of a complete package thanks to a significant edge on defense, it’s also worth noting that the Chiefs are nigh-unbeatable in Arrowhead of late. We predict that Buffalo will get its revenge against Kansas City by way of a last-second game-winning field goal in regulation to deny another overtime opportunity for the Chiefs to steal the victory.
