No doubt, NFL Week 14’s most important game pits the Philadelphia Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys. The Boys and Birds clashed a few weeks ago in Philly where the Eagles handed the Cowboys a 5-points loss. Since then, Dallas has rolled. Philadelphia heads to AT&T Stadium a week after suffering one of their most embarrassing loses in the past couple of seasons, a 42-19 rout defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers. Will Philadelphia bounce back in a game that will determine the who is in first place in the AFC East? Or will the Cowboys exact their revenge? Why Bet on the Philadelphia Eagles?

In many games this season, the Eagles D has played great. Philadelphia held Miami and Kansas City to 17 points in a couple of wins.

But there have been other times when the Eagles defense hasn’t lived up to the press. Washington scored 31 twice. The Bills scored 34.

Philadelphia won all three games. Things came to a head in NFL Week 13 when the Philly D allowed Deebo Samuel to run wild after the catch in a 42-19 home defeat.

As Jalen Hurts goes, so goes the Philadelphia Eagles offense. Hurts hasn’t played great football in recent games, though.

Jalen only completed 63.6% of his passes in the upset win against the Chiefs. Then in the next game, Jalen’s completion percentage dived to 58.1% in an overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The Eagles signal-caller completed an even worse percentage, 57.8, in the loss to San Francisco. The good news is that Jalen completed 73.9% against the Cowboys. So Hurts and the offense should bounce back with a decent game on Sunday.

Why Bet on the Dallas Cowboys?

In three straight games before their last versus the Seattle Seahawks, the Dallas defense had rocked. Big D held Tommy DeVito and the New York Giants to 17 points in a win, controlled Bryce Young and the Panthers to the tune of 10 points in a victory and punished Commanders quarterback Sam Howell in another win where their opponent scored just 10.

However, Geno Smith and the Seahawks made the defense look human when dropping 35 points. Smith to DK Metcalf was the story of the game. Although Dallas won, the fact they allowed Metcalf and Smith to dominate isn’t a good sign heading into a matchup where Jalen Hurts can throw to both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Dak Prescott is posting MVP-like stats. Prescott is completing 70.7% of his passes, has thrown for 3,234 yards, and has a 26-to-6 TD-to-INT ratio.

Prescott played well in the first matchup, throwing for 374 yards and 3 touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb caught 11 of Dak’s passes for a crazy 191 yards.

If the Dallas offense is on, Philly will have problems stopping the pass.

The two Super Bowl contenders appear to be moving in opposite directions. The Dallas Cowboys are on fire, winning 6-of-7 with the lone loss coming against the Eagles in Philadelphia.

The Eagles were on a 5-game winning streak until their last game. But the loss to the San Francisco 49ers was so devastating, that Philadelphia may not bounce back for a couple of games.

Almost as important? Yes, Geno Smith and DK Metcalf bombarded the Dallas defense, but there’s no way the Boys weren’t thinking ahead to this matchup. The Cowboys will be more focused and ready to show their best.
