But after losses to San Francisco, Dallas, and Seattle, Philly is reeling. Will the Eagles bounce back as massive -11.5 home favorites? Or will the Giants add to the Eagles woes? Why Bet on the New York Giants?

The Giants defense had been playing decent football, but in their last game, the defense let the G-Men down.

NYG held the Commanders to 19, the Patriots to 7, and Green Bay to 22 in 3 straight victories. In their last, The Saints dropped a 24-point bomb onto the defense.

The Eagles have struggled on offense in recent games, though. So although the Giants D didn’t play well versus the Saints, there’s a chance it bounces back against their NFC East rivals.

Quarterback Tommy DeVito and the offense was great up until the NFL Week 15 game versus the New Orleans Saints. The Saints sacked DeVito 7 times and held the Giants to 9 points.

However, the performance could have more to do with the surging Saints’ D and not so much with the Giants offense. Philadelphia’s defense struggled to contain Drew Lock and the Seahawks this past Monday night. So like the Giants defense, the offense under DeVito could bounce back on Christmas.

Why Bet on the Philadelphia Eagles?

At this point, it’s difficult not to call the Eagles defense a disaster. San Francisco scored 42 in an Eagles loss. Dallas scored 33 in the second straight loss and the Seahawks, behind back up quarterback Drew Lock scored 20.

Matt Patricia picked up play-calling duties for Philadelphia, which is why the defense did perform better versus the Seahawks than it did against the Cowboys and 49ers. Still, losing to a backup QB is not good.

The Eagles should play better defense against DeVito. But there’s no way to know for sure.

Philadelphia’s offense is mired in mediocrity. The bad play started against the 49ers where the best Philadelphia could do was score 19.

Dallas held Philly to 13 points and the Seahawks kept the Eagles stuck on 17. Seattle’s defense isn’t great. So the fact Jalen Hurts and his mates couldn’t break 20 isn’t a good sign.

Sounds crazy, but the Giants have a shot of winning this straight up. Philadelphia isn’t close to being the same team they were last season.

Heck, the Eagles aren’t the same team they were earlier in the season. The problem is that defenses have adjusted to Philadelphia’s offense, but Philly has yet to make any adjustments to free up A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

On defense, unless Philadelphia’s front four gets it done, the Eagles struggle. Philadelphia won’t have an easy time in this. The Giants are good defensively and the offense can do some things with DeVito at QB. Taking the points is the way to go, but if you feel like taking a swing on the money line, this is a good game to take the big swing.
