Top NCAAB Betting Picks of the Week (December 6th, 2021)
Like in most weeks, excellent matchups dot the NCAAB schedule. On Tuesday, Villanova takes on the Orange at Syracuse. On Wednesday, Wisconsin hosts Indiana and then on Thursday it’s a clash of ranked teams when Texas heads to Seton Hall. Saturday’s best matchup pits undefeated Arizona against tough Illinois. Villanova Wildcats vs. Syracuse Orange

- Where: Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York

Villanova’s two loses were against top teams. UCLA beat Nova 86-77 in overtime on Nov. 12. The Wildcats fell to Purdue 74-80 on Nov. 21. Syracuse isn’t as good of a basketball team as Villanova. But the Orange are hot against the spread, going 3-1 in their last 4. This should be a tight game. Take the points on the Orange.

Indiana Hoosiers vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Indiana is for real. The Hoosiers only loss this season happened to Syracuse in overtime. But although Indiana should play well on Wednesday they face a top Big Ten rival on the road. Wisconsin already has a couple of quality victories, 65-63 against Houston on Nov. 23, and 89- 76 versus Marquette on Dec. 4. The Badgers win and cover.

Texas Longhorns vs. Seton Hall Pirates

Since losing to Gonzaga on Nov. 13, the Horns have rolled, winning 5 straight. Texas faces the toughest team on their schedule since the Zags, though, in the Seton Hall Pirates on Thursday. The Hall is 7-1 heading into the week. The loss happened against Ohio State on a neutral court and it was by just 3 points. Texas is a good team, but beating the Pirates on the road will be tough. Seton Hall wins and covers.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

- Where: Value City Arena, Columbus, Ohio

Ohio State followed up a victory over Duke on Nov. 30 with a smashing win against rival Penn State on Dec. 5. The Buckeyes are in a rythmn and because of that, they’ll be tough to beat. But Wisconsin might be one of the best teams in the loaded Big Ten. Heading into the week, the Badgers have covered in 5 straight. It’s difficult not to like the Badgers on Wednesday. It’s also difficult not to like them to at least cover on Saturday.

Arizona Wildcats at Illinois Fighting Illini

- Where: State Farm Center, Champaign, Illinois

The Illini enter the week on a 4-game winning treak. But Illinois has yet to face a team with the overall game that Arizona possesses. The Wildcats might be the best team in the nation. Zona ranks first in points per game. AZ allows an average of 58.7 points each contest. The Cats play a free and loose style that they can turn into a devastating halfcourt game if required. Jay Wright loves to test his team early, which is one of the reasons Villanova faces Baylor on Sunday. The Wildcats are a solid group. They’ll find it tough to keep it close against the Bears, though. Baylor is undefeated heading into the week. Not only are they undefeated, but they’re also 5-2-1 against the spread. The Bears score 84 points per game and play excellent defense. Baylor may not blow out Nova, but they’ll cover.
