The Raiders are feeling good after a stunning 63-21 victory over the Chargers in their last. However, the Chiefs blew out Vegas in the first matchup between these two. Why Bet on the Las Vegas Raiders?

In the first game, the Raiders D gave up 31 points to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. But since that substandard performance, Vegas has bounced back with a couple of solid games, allowing the Vikings to score just 3 and then holding the Bolts to 21.

Vegas lost to the Vikings but dominated the Chargers. In fact, the game was out of hand, LV was up 42-0, before Los Angeles scored a single point. Vegas has hit their stride on the defense end. So the Chiefs shouldn’t come close to 31 on Monday.

Versus the Chargers, Aidan O’Connell threw for 248 yards and tossed 4 touchdowns. O’Connell capitalized on a couple of Los Angeles turnovers earlier in the game. Still, the rookie from Purdue showed he has what it takes to run an NFL offense.

Davante Adams had a break-out game with 8 catches for 101 yards and a TD grab. If the O’Connell to Adams connection happens on Monday, the Raiders will score against the Chiefs.

Why Bet on the Kansas City Chiefs?

The Chiefs defense has carried the team this season. That’s strange to say because Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

However, Mahomes and the offense isn’t playing as well as it has in recent games. The defense hasn’t allowed just two opponents, Denver and Green Bay, to score 24 or more in KC’s last 7 games.

In the first matchup between these two, the Raiders scored 17 in a 31-17 Kansas City victory.

Kansas City has lost 3-of-5. In the three losses, KC scored 17 versus Philadelphia, 19 against Green Bay and 17 points versus the Bills.

Mahomes is having trouble getting the ball to Travis Kelce because defenses are playing Kelce with corners, linebackers, and safeties. Defensive backs are passing Kelce off, which means the KC wide receivers must step it up.

Too often this season, the Kansas City Chiefs’ wideouts haven’t gotten the job done.

It’s asking a lot for the Raiders to upset the Chiefs in Kansas City. So it’s tough to back Vegas on the money line.

But’s almost as difficult to back the Chiefs to cover the spread. Kansas City, although the offense looked good against the Patriots, isn’t the same team from last season. The Chiefs wide receivers will have problems getting open while the blueprint to stop Travis Kelce is well-known.

Expect a close game, one that will have Chiefs fans on the edge of their seats. Kansas City wins, but it may take a last second field goal to get the victory.
