2023 NOCO 400 NASCAR Odds & Prediction
Martinsville Speedway has remained a staple venue on the NASCAR schedule for over seven decades. The NASCAR Cup Series punches the first of its two tickets to the 0.526-mile oval on Sunday for the 2023 NOCO 400. The green flag drops at 3:00 PM ET with Christoper Bell leading the standings after taking the Bristol Dirt Race win last week.
Furthermore, the 37-driver grid will race around the track for over 250 laps. The Martinsville Speedway is bound to see action on the 12-degree banked turns and plenty of straight-line speed. 2022 NOCO 400 Recap
Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron crossed the finish line first ahead of Joey Logano. Third place went to Austin Dillon.
Ryan Blaney finished fourth, Austin Dillon fifth, and Kurt Busch sixth. Kurt’s brother, Kyle, finished seventh.
Eighth went to Aric Almirola and ninth to Chase Briscoe. Chase Elliott finished tenth.
Top Choice to Win the 2023 NOCO 400
Elliott returns to the track on Sunday after a leg injury. Chase says he might struggle to brake with his left foot. So we we should expect Elliott to serve in more of a supporting role in this, which is why Hendrick teammate William Byron is the top pick.
William was fantastic early, winning at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway. His form tailed off some lately although the fifth at the Circuit of the Americas was also nice.
Last Sunday, William finished thirteenth. On Sunday, he goes to a track he knows well. Byron should get back on the winning track. The chalk is the top pick.
Second Top Choice to Win the 2023 NOCO 400
Joey Logano got into an accident last Sunday, which is why he finished dead last. We can’t hold it against Joey.
If we throw out last Sunday’s event, Logano has 4 top ten finishes in 7 races this season. He finished second at the Daytona 500, won at Atlanta, and finished seventh in Richmond in the race right before the Bristol dirt jaunt.
Logano’s second in this last year speaks volumes. Joey’s got a shot.
Third Top Choice to Win the 2023 NOCO 400
Kyle Larson drove great last Sunday. Also, the fourth place finish in this last year makes him a contender.
The seventh place finish in this last year wasn’t bad. Also, Kyle Busch has an excuse for last Sunday because he had a suspension issue with his ride.
Already this NASCAR Season, there have been times where Kyle and new team Richard Childress have looked like a match made in heaven. Busch won at Auto Club Speedway, finished eighth at Phoenix, and finished second at the Circuit of the Americas. The odds are more than fair if you believe.
Top Underdog Choice to Win the 2023 NOCO 400
If you’re going to take a big swing, look Austin Dillon’s way. Dillon finished third at the Bristol Motor Speedway dirt race last week.
It was Austin’s lone top ten finish of the season. On Sunday, Dillon heads to a track he knows well.
The odds make Dillon a massive overlay. The third place finish in this last year is big and another reason Austin Dillon is this Sunday’s top underdog play.
