Why Bet on the New York Islanders?

Game 4 was one that the Islanders needed to win and they did but with it’s difficulties along the way. The game was tied until the third period, when in the last seven minutes of game play, New York was able to get a few goals in to secure the win. One player that has everybody wondering how he missed a goal is Davis Pastrnak. So the NHL odds in this game might seem not to sure for the Isles.

Stats indicate the Islanders averaging 3.20 goals scored per game during the playoffs, with a 2.70 goals scored against average, a 22% success rate in the power play and a penalty kill efficiency of 66.7%. Their goalie Semyon Varlamov has had a lot of work recently. He currently has a GAA o 2.48 and a save percentage of .929 just in the playoffs.

Why Bet on the Boston Bruins?

As Game 5 heads back home, the Bruins will have the home field advantage. And they have three of the top five highest paid pending unrestricted free agents in forward David Krejci, Taylor Hall and goalie Tuukka Rask. They will be looking to consolidate their spot in the team and most likely will want to stay there, so expect a better performance from these three.

The performance from Boston so far has them averaging 3.00 goals score per game, with an average of 2.33 goals conceded per game, a 32.1% power play percentage and a penalty kill effectiveness of 81.3%. Rask will have plenty on his plate tonight. His performance so far in the playoffs is 2.10 in GAA and a save percentage of .926.

Islanders vs. Bruins Expert Betting Predictions

The numbers on both teams have them neck and neck. We can say the Bruins are slightly superior the Islanders, though that clearly hasn’t provided any type of security for Boston. The Isles are known to flip things around, so this might be the case tonight. This is a hard series to call. Keep your eyes peeled for any changes before game time.
